Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I would never recommend living in these apartments to anyone. They are "renovating" now but I've had nothing but problems since I've moved in! I'm coming to ending terms with my lease and will be moving shortly but just in the last 2 weeks I've had my car keyed. I reported it and the office said they'd get back with me and never did. My gas has been shutoff twice, and one of the times they never came back to turn it on, until the following day. Mind you, its December, and I had no heat. (Thankfully it has been warmer though) Late last night, I realized I did not have hot water. I had no emergency line to call, the one they gave us never answers. So I woke up to walk around and find the maintenance crew, to then get attitude from them as well. This is all within the last 2 weeks. Now just living in the apartments, there is hair stuck on the walls from previous tenants, bugs galore due to living on first floor in front of court yard, scary loud pipes, terrible parking lots and no towing company. The office staff is very nice, but every times I go in to discuss things I get different answers from the staff. It seems none of them know exactly whats going on, and how to go about things. I've lived in apartments all my life, haven't had any problems paying my rent, I feel I'm a respectful person, and I feel as if I'm not getting respect back from the company. Because of all this, I would never recommend. You get what you pay for I guess.
If I could give this place a negative, I would. I have lived at Kenwood for 3 years and am anxious to leave! I moved into a dirty apartment (pet hair in all the corners, dirty window sills, stained carpet), they lost half of my move-in paperwork, and the office staff always seems to have an attitude. I have had car broken into twice while parked in a garage because the garages are separated by chicken wire and if someone does not lock their garage up it is easy to break in. I have also had issue with parking my car on the road, I have had to replace my driver's side mirror twice now and the office staff will not let you have a copy of the video to submit to the insurance company and Toledo Police will not come watch the video. There are drug deals at all hours of the day. My building constantly smells like marijuana. The worst part of this place is the office staff. I have had nothing but issues with them since I moved in. They always have excuses for everything that could go wrong. They lost half my move-in paperwork, the person that processed it no longer works there. I needed shots for my cat (cats do not need shots like dogs), I asked for a list of necessary shots, they don't have one. I did not receive my resident referral credit on my rent, I received a phone call from the manager with a bunch of personal problem excuses. This place is absolutely horrible. DO NOT be fooled by their kindness when you first apply because it will change.
Unprofessional in every aspect. Employees need better customer service skills and an office manager needs to be onsite for any issues regular staff can't handle. This company needs to really reevaluate employees and customer service practices that are common sense but are not utilized.
I have been living here for for 6 months now. They have their positives and their negatives. I like the location, its pretty much the cheapest around, and the apartment itself is alright. (I wish it had central air though.) The hallway that joins all of the apartments together and the laundry room are cleaned fairly often, but I would say that the cleaning crew could do a better job. I don't have any noise complaints (the wall are made out of concrete) but I am not a fan of neighbors. I regularly see them doing drugs, on the little stoop out side the apartment building and the watched the Toledo SWAT team break in a few buildings down, which doesn't really make me feel too safe either; (NOTE: they do have a security constantly driving around the apartments, but they never seem to bee doing anything. I see him parked in the Food Town parking lot all the time just sitting there.) However, you can't really expect much more when you live in one of the cheapest places in Toledo. My biggest complaints would be that there is is no where near enough parking spaces and sometimes need to park a block away if I come home later than normal. They also have already had two inspections on everyone's apartment since I moved in (for unknown reasons). They left a note warning me of this, but I still don't think they should be coming into my house when I am doing nothing wrong. All and all I would say, if you are trying to get on your feet, and don't mind living near a large amount of college students, it isn't too terrible of a place and that you get what you pay for.
Places is not as bad as people make it seem! I never had any real problems. I never heard my neighbors. Barely even saw them! I would live here again!!
