This is a wonderful little boutique hotel near Washington Square Park. The rooms were small, but comfortable and the staff was accommodating and friendly. If you are not used to these kind of hotels, it is an adjustment from a regular American hotel, but in a good way. It has everything you need, just right, not too much. The details were sophisticated and elegant. The lounge downstairs is cozy and gets a hearty crowd as the fireplace glows on cold nights. The bar has imaginative cocktails and a good premium selection of spirits and craft beers (if you are into craft beers). The restaurant is understated with a calm ambiance and appealing menu offerings along with a friendly waitstaff. The rooms come with a nice continental breakfast and the lounge has full regular waitstaff service. This is a nice thing if you just want to hang out and have a munchie, or just some drinks and conversation. The lounge and bar gets a good mixed crowd considering the proximity to NYU. For the price of a room elsewhere in the city, I would pick this place over and over for location, amenities and overall service and comfort.

This is such a cute boutique hotel, love the furry furniture and cozy fireplace. And the restaurant in the back serves great food! Definitely check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

This is a quaint place to get drinks and a cheese platter on a cool night outside. It has a very wintery feel with fireplaces and a darker ambiance. The cocktails are not cheaper than $15 and the crowd is a bit on the older side.

Yes rooms are small but quite frankly if thry are charging considerably less than the other hotels in the are then so be it. Despite not having a desk the room was really nicelydone and had alone will need for a good night of sleep. If taht does not convince you, being one block from 5th and few from Soho might.

For NY pricing this hotel is cool factor, hipster but still a down to earth quality. The staff is great but I will say that management is a bit standoffish. You would think they might like to smile at the "early adopters" of their brand,. Go for the room upgrade with the queen bed - if not your room is SMALL with 4pt type. No desks will make it non business friendly but the well done renovation make it your chance to see how the 47% lived back in the day.
