While the management is nice and helpful, the amount paid for rent isn't worth the quality of the apartment. Yes it is spacious... But so far living here 4 months I can say this: Water pipes have major water hammer it sounds like they're going to explode inside the walls. Happens consistently daily when the water is run in the bathtub. Just got warm and I'm noticing huge bugs on steroids everywhere. Never had this problem living in a different city in metro Detroit prior to here. A/c unit is installed in the dumbest way possible. It cools one of the rooms, the one that contains it within. It was 67 degrees outside, in the living room and kitchen the temperature inside was 78 degrees (definitely overheating), ac unit running at 60 degrees. Bedroom was at 73. It was impossible to sit here in not looking forward to this summer. The bathroom was the only room at a bearable 70. Neighbors around us smoke weed consistently. Being pregnant I find that a huge negative having to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes. The lady under us smokes and the smell is vented into our apartment through the air shaft in the wall l. We taped it up on the side of our bedroom with duct tape so it doesn't come in through there anymore but when she smokes our entire bathroom reeks of weed as if we were smoking in there. Mind that both me and cohabitant are both nonsmokers. We find it absolutely disguisting. Not to mention people blasting loud ghetto music from their car at 11 pm at night or later on weekends in the winter, I don't want to find out what summer is going to be like. We had the cops called on us for being too loud when we were Being dead silent (working on final exam presentation online/playing video games in separate rooms in silence) which is obnoxious, Laundry gets really expensive. 1.50 per load of wash + 1.50 per load of drying and is shared in the entire building. It is rather annoying and runs loud. Our apartment is right next to the unit and we can hear the loud buzzing when it runs. Not to mention when everyone below us is heating up their apartment up in ours with thermostat turned off it comes up to 85/90 degrees. Most of the cold days had our windows wide open to vent it out but it still felt hot. And last of all windows are aluminum and have gaps in them. Our energy bill is right around 40 without running much electricity in winter time... I can only imagine having to pay nearly 200$ a month in the summer because all the cold air escapes outside or is heated beyond belief and can't be felt and the AC isn't doing anything. Our toilet doesn't properly flush. Have to flush it two to three times to get the contents to flush down. Rediculous waste of water. At least it is paid for by the apt, but still you would think they'd have it fixed. If you're considering these apartments do yourself a favor and find ones with better Windows unless you want to waste money on insulating them and buying your own portable air conditioner unit (which run 500$ + a piece for the decent ones) because you'll save on energy even if the pats are a bit more than 730 a month (ours is 825 and has nothing but issues, definitely not worth the money for the buck)
This place is so unprofessional ! The Maintence staff is rude and nasty they don't respond to your needs of they feel they are not important enough. There are a lot of kids playing in hallways and telling and screaming. I would not ever live here again ! The easing machines break often. They paint the tubs with really cheap paint that chips. The screen in the Windows allow all kind of insects to enter. I would never live here again it was a horrible experience. The neighborhood is really good though they are close to major high ways and there are a lot of stores and restaurants near by.
I have live here for 2 years love the office staff and i don't plan on moving anytime soon
No snow removal. Quiet during the winter loud and obnoxious in the summer. Also frequent break-ins have occured.
