I called about renting a unit and was told there was unit available for immediate occupancy. I was given price of $553 and made an appointment for 5:30pm. I arrived ten minutes late for my appointment at 5:40. I was told by an overweight woman with dark hair and a bad attitude that she could not show me the unit, only give me the floor plan. (She was not the same person I spoke to on the phone earlier today.)She said the fair housing act permitted her from showing any properties after 5:30pm. I asked her why, then was my appointment made at 5:30pm? Even if I had shown up exactly on time, it would have been too late to show me the unit. Her excuse made no sense and basically was her saying she was ready to go home and didn't feel like showing me the unit. I am in need of immediate residency and was willing to pay cash for my everything (including my lease of 6 mo. rent in advance)that afternoon so that I may start moving things in immediately. She just shrugged her shoulders and started gathering her things so she could go home. She then also informed me the rent was $595 for the unit that was available. Maybe your management company doesn't care anything about making money. I'm not sure. But I have never encountered a leasing agent more indifferent about renting units than this one. She was also incredibly rude. But she apparently is really great at posting 100 listing on craigslist a day, b/c your complex is 90% of the total ads in this area over and over and over on craigslist. This is not helpful and extremely annoying to apartment hunters. It's to the point of scouring through ads trying to find one that isn't for Mission Place. Very annoying as well. Best of luck. You just lost $7K plus in cash today. Even though my search continues tomorrow, I will not be back to have that rude woman show me the unit you have available.
