I have lived in the Norris Court Apartments for one year. I just renewed my lease. I am writing this because the only other review I found about this apartment complex and the apartment managers was outdated and not congruent with my experience (at least of the place since Fall 2014). I realize this is lengthy, but the prior review was so bad I felt compelled to write this in response. The apartments are older so the managers are stiff on residents not putting holes in any of the walls and requiring us to add felt to all of the bottom of our furniture/items that could scratch the hard wood surface. It makes sense as the units are generally in pretty good shape, as far as I can tell (and I have seen two or three units) and they want to keep them that way. The managers are reasonable though and provide some felt and hangers for hanging items from the ceiling and state very clearly what the expectation is before we signed a lease. They have been professional and consistently responsive to requests for maintenance (usually within 24 hours if its a business day or first thing Monday when it is over the weekend). They made moving apartments convenient as they were accommodating to special needs we requested. I further find the managers to be friendly and warm in ways I have not expected and would recommend this place to anyone considering living in this area.

We send our rent checks here to live in the Calimar apartments at 16 E. Gorham. THE MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE AND OFTENTIMES ILLEGAL. I am a law student aware of many of the tricks they tried to pull. They are disrespectful and irresponsive. The only time they will respond to you is if they are hounding you for extra money or blaming you for a maintenance problem that you did not create. Do not live here, and if you do have issues, please report them to the government and the BBB.
