Came by to a visit a friend and I brought my dog. I took my dog out to potty and a staff member walks up to me and screams at me saying, "is this a pit bull?" Which it wasn't. Then demands to know where I live. I tell her I'm visiting a friend and she threatens me by saying that my friend will get a pet fine because I brought my dog to visit. I tell my friend this and he pulls up his leasing agreement and no where does it say you can't have guest 's bring over dogs without putting down a pet deposit. What they need to do is worry about the thugs they're letting into this property and stop worrying about something stupid as me bringing my dog over to visit a friend. Also, they need to fix this damn place. The floors are uneven, there is flooding all over the apartment when it rains, maintenance here sucks. I told my friend to just break his lease and get away from here. No wonder this place can't maintain an occupancy above 50%. Rude.
This has been the worst 10 months of my life....my car has gotten broken into, my guest cars have gotten towed even though they were in the correct spot, and my car had a huge orange sticker placed on it that ruined my windows even though I was parked in the correct place and my hanging tag was visible. Neighbors are loud, noisy, disrespectful, dirty and rude! I've been woken up at 4am before due to loud music that I can hear in my apartment from THREE DOORS DOWN. I've made complaints, I've called the office, and they always say they'll take care of it but it's the weekend again and I was woken up AGAIN by loud music before 9am. I've had roaches in my apartment since I moved and I'm a super clean person. The bug guy comes out to spray but you have to constantly call the apartment and request it. They've been out numerous times to my apartment and I still have roaches coming through the air vents, vents in the laundry room, and through spaces (which I let the apartment know when I moved in) where the cabinets don't line up right. I've had a leak in my bathroom for about 4 months. The first time they fixed it they left a huge open area in the ceiling for two days before they finally came back. The leak is back again and I made a request 4 weeks ago for them to come fix it and still no one has been to my apartment. No one ever calls to follow up after maintenance is requested, so if something still isn't fixed you have to call the office and bug them about it. Don't let the low price fool you because ITS NOT WORTH IT. I can't wait to move out in less than a month to a much quieter, reserved neighborhood where they appreciate me as a resident. Where I don't have to worry about walking from my car to my apartment! As a resident here you're not even noticed, heard, or appreciated!
The Aberdeen has been absolutely terrible. There is a MAJOR roach infestation, absolutely no parking after 9pm, my AC has been out for a week now and it gets up to 87 degrees in my apartment. The staff has no sense of urgency when it comes to maintenance or issues of any kind. It also floods very easily. Just don't do it to yourself! Once you are in the lease you can NOT get out. The prices may be good but you will be spending more money going to war with the never ending roach infestation, buying fans to cool your apartment and gas by circling the place hundreds of times to find a parking spot. Also, the place is built terribly, cracks everywhere and the fire department is here every month because of fires that still haven't been repaired. The walls are super thin and you can hear your neighbors every move. This is the worst experience ever. I am stressed out and counting down the days until I can end this nightmare. Take my advice and move along!
**Current Resident** I have only lived here for a year (going on June 30) but I will not be making this my home for another year. When we (my roommate and I) moved into this area; it was pretty decent. Yea they show you a nice showroom that has lights and such. Nice layout. Things are evened out and such. Somewhat decent price. Okay. Sign a year of our lives away. What a mistake. But when you rent and start living in the place, that's when you notice all of the problems. They don't discuss that getting lights in your living room and bedroom would cost extra. They aren't cheap either. Our heater was out. For 3 whole months. On and off they went. And that was when the cold weather was really bad. I got so tired of placing in complaint after complaint; getting a maintanence guy that would fiddle with wires and say it's fixed or just didn't say anything and left (to not even come back..) That 3rd month I threatened to not even pay rent because I was starting to get sick and not even come back to the apartments (Went to stay with my parents again just to have heater). That made them replace the WHOLE heater/air conditioner. And that was the problem. The damn thing was so old it wasn't working anymore and they tried to say that we broke it. My fridge was a whole freezer. I had to get that whole thing fixed too. I kept losing groceries when placing it in there an they shrugged it off. Do they know how much groceries cost now? They wouldn't even replace some of them they stated that it was my fault and that it should have came to them sooner-- We just moved in we were on easy microwave dry foods and soups. Those dont need to be in the fridge. I didn't have a bug problem until they came through and sprayed everything-- It brings bugs, not kill them. As alot. I'm cleaning every day after word even when no one is home because I don't want to have bugs infest my clothes and food. Also they don't care for fixing up the other parts of the apartments. A small fire broke out and destroyed both the boiler room and laundry rooms on my side and they have yet to fix anything-- It's starting to mold and I'm allergic to mold so it's even dangerous for me to stay here. They also don't care when the elevator is broken-- I got stuck in it once because it didn't open back up. And since then, they want to raise the rent up by another 60 dollars or so by the end of June-- It's already 720+ whatever the water is since it's split between the residents in your building-- for a 1 bedroom. I'm not about to pay 800 for it and it's barely over 700 sq ft. Depending on who's in the office that day you may get 1 nice person out of the whole group. Other then that they treat you like your the scum on bottom of their shoes and barely give you the time of day. Parking sucks so much and it seems that they make sure to barely look at the people with and without stickers because they towed my friends car and she HAD A STICKER. Office people didn't care either. Stating that the tow guy said there was no sticker. They only make sure it looks good enough to sucker people out of their money. Then that's when you get hit with everything else. Thanks but no thanks. I'll take my money and belongings elsewhere after the lease is up.
I called to get leasing info and couldnt reach no one, i left a voicemail with my phone number and its been a week and no ever called me. Its like trying to reach the president. If you cant reach no one then this is a huge sign i should stay away
