I can't believe the lease they expect you to sign! So glad I read the reviews and thoroughly reviewed the lease. The way they "distribute" the utilities is a joke. Not to mention the pet fee, deposit, and rent?! And we were lied to about the parking arrangements. I would not suggest this place to my worst enemy. It sounds like it all went down hill after new management.
I love everything about this place except for utilities. As a single woman living alone I have to share utilities with my entire building- five other apartments. My individual utilities averaged 27 bucks. I pay well over a 100 now, picking up my rude neighbors bills!!! Not only are you sharing the utilities you are paying a THIRD company to split up the bill for canyon ranch! RIDICULOUS.
The apartment complex is pretty trashy. Garbage all over the car ports. Homeless people camp out right outside the fence. Rent and utilities are outrageous. I have a small 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment and paid $897.69 for rent and utilities for February 2016. There are nicer places to live in town for a cheaper price. Living at Canyon Ranch is definitely not worth the cost.
The apartments are very nice. Theyre spacious and I always feel safe here. However, it is not worth the price. The utilities are set up by building and divided by the square footage of your apartment and the amount of people you have living there. Ours have been capped at $175. Your water bill is not only made out of what your building uses, but when they drain the pool and refill it, the laundry facilities, and the sprinklers that they run even when it's October and raining. I've had some concerns and tried talking to the staff very politely, just asking general questions and the older lady that works in the office, every time has been extremely rude and unhelpful. She has one of the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. I suggest really reading into the fine print and ask a lot of questions before you sign the lease. I also recommend if these are apartments are at the top of your price range, do not decide on them because the utility prices really screw you over. Other than that, they are nice apartments.
I have lived here for a little over 3 years and have had no complaints what so ever. The office staff are wonderful, very understand and very relatable. They maintenance men are very efficient and when you have a problem they are there, always. Out of my 3 years living here, in a couple months I am saying my goodbye's all because they have let a certain someone in the office go, just because he did things from the heart and really cared. So sad to leave, but its time I part my ways. I would recommend this place to anyone!
