I have lived here for a year and really like it. Crystal (current property manager) worked with me on my rent price so I could afford to extend my lease for another year. Maintenance is prompt, usually same day, and friendly. My neighbors are quiet and even though I see kids at the pool or playground, I never hear them when I'm in my apartment. The apartment is on the pricey side, but for me it is worth it for the location, higher-end appliances, privacy, and above all quiet. The fitness center is really nice and well-equipped. The only real problem I have with the complex is parking in the evenings. I usually end up parking at the back of the complex and walking if I get back after 7-8 pm. Also, you can't opt out of the concierge service, which I have literally never used and never will use, but still pay for.
I will now seek Greystar complexes out after my experience with Erika, Daisy and the Plantation. This is a corporation with a heart, a beautiful complex filled with amenities, and are a great place to make your home. My elderly parents were living in the Plantation when my father passed of a sudden onset of Leukemia. Greystar had caring options to help with the difficult transition of breaking the lease and moving my mother back to Oklahoma. Many management companies would have caked on the penalties for breaking a lease regardless of the reason. Not at the Plantation, the staff went above and beyond helping my family during this difficult time. They quickly remodeled and re-leased the apartment saving my widowed mother thousands she could not afford. Erika and Daisy exemplified outstanding customer service. I was a licensed Real Estate Agent in Oklahoma and the General Manager of a seven figure management company. I specialized in Rental and leasing for over a decade. This is not a typical complex, it is well above the average. This is a well run complex with a staff that truly cares and tenants that smile in appreciation.
To make this short and simple, I'm just going to say that this company is an absolute fail! WATCH OUT FOR KACY!! This employee invades your private space as she has done to me!
IMy family was transferred here and honestly, we leased the apartment over the internet based on the website (which is beautiful and full of information by the way). The lady we dealt with was extremely helpful and made sure we had all of the information necessary to make a comfortable move. She even sent me information on local daycares after I mentioned I had a 14 month old daughter. She put me in touch with their concierge company to help me with some various things on my to do list who also came and sat in my apartment and waiting on the cable guy for 4 hours so I wouldn't have to leave work!!! They have a playground and a kids pool and seem to have some kind of event going on several times a week. The property is beautiful and always perfectly clean. I can't say enough about my experience here. Our home purchase has been put on hold since we may be transferred again (ugh!) but I'm perfectly fine with that since we are comfortable and Love Love Love it here!!!
I was at the Plantation from July through January, and honestly I had enough. I basically stayed with my girlfriend through the end of April because I couldn't stand the thought of staying at the Plantation. I have never written a review but I don't think the Plantation truly anything special. It's gated but it DOESN'T MATTER. Two days before Christmas all four of my tires on my new truck were stolen. The Office said that they didn't have adequate security technology to capture what happened. And there were 60 cars that entered, exited the night of the event. Needless to say, you lose piece of mind after you get to your car at 6am for a 7am conference call and your vehicle is on blocks. What good is a gated community when anyone can get in' There are hundreds of residents and some of those friends know the code to get in. Or you can just wait for someone to go into the complex and anyone can literally follow you in. For all my troubles the Plantation wanted me to ask where to get quotes for a new security system, and gave me half of my deductible. Oh gee, thanks! The 2nd in command saw me coming asking for any information and suddenly I became her problem. God forbid someone tries to help. Anyways, long story short, why pay the premium for a "premium" community' Their water bill is insanely high, which also pays for the concierge service. Parking is kind of limited if you get back after 8pm. Noise was ok, its better than other places I have been. I think I alluded to safety above and what I thought about it. I don't think their gates are for anything useful. Construction seemed solid. Maintenance was good. The front office staff turnover was a bit extreme. It was like there was 3 different waves of employees within 6 months. Oh and their are some cool programs. One of them for instance was a drawing for $50 off rent if you came onto these types of websites and wrote a positive review. Just throwing that out there
