Bad parking Faulty appliances High rates--larger apartment than ours went for a lower rate but convientently was not available and we found out lease signing day. Tricked into a 6 month lease. No common area/clubhouse. Washer and dryer NOT free. They will say they are. Kitchen super small. Old. Unkept. Address doesn't show up on GPS even though over 20 years old. Phone service horrible. Even Verizon AT&T and Sprint.DONT MOVE HERE. Positive things: Large rooms Close to the Tide and bus line
I have lived here for a year now and things haven't been terrible but its not great. I live in a 2 bedroom/2 bath for $1089 and that's only bcuz they were running a special when we moved in. Otherwise it would be more. Maintenance isn't great, when we moved in my tub wouldn't drain fully and would slowly fill as I was using it and maintenance came out 3 times and repeatedly told me there was nothing wrong. I ended up just having to deal with it and having to clean my tub once a week even though I was the only one using it. We started seeing roaches about a month ago even though maintenance said they sprayed but we doubt they ever did. The only issue with parking is the size of the spaces. I don't think whoever measured the lot was judging based off the size of even a small 2 door car. We had three cars and they only give 2 decals so someone was always stuck in a tiny spot. Don't arrive home after 12 because you will NOT find a space close by. My car got towed but they were nice enough to let me pick it up for free since there were no visitor spaces at all when I got home. Walls are VERY thin, you will hear everything!!
Hated it. Had issues with maintenance. There was mold, leaking ceilings, and constant dishwasher over flow. I didnt even ise the dishwater and constantly came home to my floors covered in puddles.
I lived at Waters Edge from 2013-2015... It wasn't the worst, but it definitely wasn't the best. When I moved in, my apartment had roaches. They sprayed for them, or claimed that they did, but it took a couple months for them to go away, and I had to purchase a bomb myself to get rid of them. Maintenance there was so,so. Sometimes they would take forever to fix a small issue, but they were very nice. The apartment itself was awesome. Nice appliances, vaulted ceilings and grass was always neat. I really didn't have too many problems with parking but I lived on the end with less people. The price was fair at first, but then it started to get out of hand. I now live in a condo that is slightly cheaper, but much bigger than the 2bed/2bath at Waters Edge.
I've lived in a lot of Apts in the Norfolk area, this has to be the quietest place I've lived. You can sit out on your balcony at night and only here bugs. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance responds quickly and has fixed anything I have an issue with. The pool is big, unlike the last place I lived. The location is close to everything. Parking can be difficult at times, but that is the same everywhere. As for Shelly, I've had no problems with her. She is professional and very polite. I love it here and will continue to live here, until I move out of state or buy a house.
