I lived at Waters Edge from 2013-2015... It wasn't the worst, but it definitely wasn't the best. When I moved in, my apartment had roaches. They sprayed for them, or claimed that they did, but it took a couple months for them to go away, and I had to purchase a bomb myself to get rid of them. Maintenance there was so,so. Sometimes they would take forever to fix a small issue, but they were very nice. The apartment itself was awesome. Nice appliances, vaulted ceilings and grass was always neat. I really didn't have too many problems with parking but I lived on the end with less people. The price was fair at first, but then it started to get out of hand. I now live in a condo that is slightly cheaper, but much bigger than the 2bed/2bath at Waters Edge.
I've lived in a lot of Apts in the Norfolk area, this has to be the quietest place I've lived. You can sit out on your balcony at night and only here bugs. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance responds quickly and has fixed anything I have an issue with. The pool is big, unlike the last place I lived. The location is close to everything. Parking can be difficult at times, but that is the same everywhere. As for Shelly, I've had no problems with her. She is professional and very polite. I love it here and will continue to live here, until I move out of state or buy a house.
Everything's been fine so far, but I don't remember all these roaches signing a lease with me so they really need to go. The building needs to be tented. Nice place and area save for the annoying roach problem.
Absolutely terrible place to live. I'm currently paying 1440/ month for a 2 bed 2 bath. Maintanence isn't that great, had an issue with our A/C and it took almost a month for them to find the problem even after I identified it after a few hours. My light fixtures in both closets have come out of the ceiling multiple times and one has a short in it which knocks out power to the entire bedroom. Shelley, the property manager, is an absolute dread to work with. My wife moved home to Florida a few months before me yet at the time we "didn't need to fill anything out," however once I tried to leave she had to get a notorized letter since she wasn't present during the lease termination. I would recommend moving further out from the city center. Most certainly stay away from Watersedge.
Horrible place, maintance sucks. We put in an order for our garbage disposal to be fixed and its been 2 weeks......
