Leaving here has been a great experience! I've been here for 1 year and will renew for another year. The people at the front office are nice and courteous and take care of all your maintenance needs when needed promptly and efficiently. I recommend these apartments wholeheartedly!
Absolute worst apartment I have ever lived in. You will be nickeled and dimed at every corner and held accountable for their management level problems. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Good apartments with all amenities. Very good size rooms and closets with activated security alarms. These are reasonably priced and I would recommend that people come and live here. Upkeep of the apartments is good, maintenance is also mostly ok.
Maybe Texas residents have different standards for apartment complexes, but my experience at promontory pointe has been pretty good so far. I'm from NYC and my living situation there was so much worse. In NYC my apartment was truely infested with mice and roaches (i'm talking like you'd see one or two everytime you turned on a light.) In my two years at promontory point I've had one instance with pests, which was ants. I only had this problem one night and it was fixed without management assistance. I personally haven't had any issues with security. All the reviews that say when you drive through you'll see cars on bricks are lies. Car break ins and vandalisms happen everywhere, not just at promontory pointe. I believe there was a change in management staff somewhere in the last year, but I haven't noticed much of a change. I've never had problems with any of the management staff being rude or discourtious. Response time is usually 1 day for maintenance issues, I've had one bad experience in two years with waiting for assistance, but management was polite about it. I don't know, promontory pointe was my first apt complex i've lived in since moving to texas and they haven't given me a reason to move out yet. I was fearful after signing a lease and then reading all these reviews. I think most people only find reasons to come write reviews when they have bad experiences, not good ones.
Rented here for 2 years...not too many problems in the first year, so we renewed our lease. 2nd year was horrible! Had a major bug infestation in the master bedroom, I'm talking literally a hundred bugs in the master bedroom all of a sudden. Called emergency maintanance, he sprayed and recaulked windows. We couldn't even sleep there, had to buy our own foggers due to pest control not being available until a cetain day. Maintanance guy tells front desk there were only about 20 bugs! Mind you, I took plenty of pics and there were at least a hundred. He just straight up lied. Same thing happened in the kitchen a few months later. In a matter of about 20 mins, the kitchen was infested w flying insects. It was horrendous. Walked to the front office, manager came to apt and saw for himself how many there were and just said they would schedule pest control. We were stuck paying for our own pest control because we couldn't wait that long. We had no plants and no pets, and the apartment was very clean and uncluttered. Once we had enough and the lease was up, we moved out. A few months later we get a final bill from the apt charging us for a pet fee and pet urine on our carpets...WE NEVER EVEN HAD A PET!! I'm allergic! Also charging us for scrapes on the kitchen countertop, which I found very odd being that we use cutting boards! I would never chop anything directly on the countertop. These apartments claim to be luxury apts, however in that 2nd year, I felt like we were living in the Section 8 complex next door! Then to try to get money out of us on charges that were bogus! Good luck if you live here.
