I have been here since 2010, and have seen two management/maintenance teams come and go. Holiday and Chiante are now the third management team and BY FAR THEEEE BEST! If you have seen the negative comments from the past, please disregard them as Holiday and her team are making fast progress to fix all the issues they walked into when taking over this community. They have made good on delivering a new AC air handler and a new stove, within days of requesting them. I have been asking for these to be replaced since 2010! They accomplish within days what the prior management teams refused to even address! They treat residents like human beings, not just a rental income. They LISTEN and understand the resident's perspective. It is very refreshing compared to how the previous management team treated resident. I strongly urge you to check out our amazing community. It truly is someplace you will be proud to call home. In fact, with all the outside and now INSIDE renovations going on, it truly feels like a resort community. And we are right across the street from Starbucks, Winn Dixie, Marshalls, GNC, Shapes, in addition to being just minutes from the beach. But with the sparkling pool and jacuzzi, you may not want to leave home! Disclaimer: I do not work for Harbour Pointe, The Rockbridge Group or any subsidiary. I have not been financially compensated to post this review. It is simply my feedback on my 5 year experience as a resident and want to help renew the image of this amazing place I will now continue to call home for many years to come.
I have live here for five years now and it is a quiet and nice neighborhood. I guess the other people have had bad luck because I have had none of the issues. I feel safe here and you get a good deal on the apartment compared to other communities. The only reason I'm not giving them a five is because the kitchen and bathrooms needs a updated upgrade. Other than that I have have no issues. I don't expect things to be fixed in a few hours, I have never had to wait more than three days to have anything fixed when my toilet broke they came out that day. I plan to stay here one more year before moving out of state. Just come see for yourself. There are no thugs, if there were I wouldn't live here.
Do yourself a favor and don't rent here! This is by far the worst place with the worst service I have ever gotten in all my years of renting. The office is "run" if you can even call it that, by people who are clueless, I had a broken overflowed toilet in my apt for TWO WEEKS and was told by the MANAGER herself, it would be fixed, needless to say I cleaned up the mess and fixed it myself and the "manager" said she'd have someone out to clean my carpets since the pee/toilet water went all over my carpets, I had to use my carpet cleaner as a shop vac to get overflow off of my bathroom floor. This is just one of numerous issues that I have had, their communication is a joke, they have one person working in the office which is more or less regular business hours so you're out of luck if you need to get a hold of them because they don't return phone calls. Never gave me a copy of my lease after asking for it and living there for three months...ac in my apt is leaking and has been since October (I've placed numerous calls and it's been "fixed" three times) still leaks (Feb)! They are trying to raise the rent from 849.00 to 909.00, yet they can't fix any issues?!?!? They are also asking for my pet info after I've had my dog in the apt for seven months?!!?!? Please do yourself a favor and RUN, as fast as you can, in any direction that gets you away from Harbour Pointe, read the reviews...not one good review! As soon as I can I'll be gone, this place is a 1985 special nightmare, no upgrades, old, mold, cracks...should I go on???? I won't, just RUN.....
This is the worst place to live. I agree %100 on the aforementioned issues, but it should be noted that the maintenance guys are underpaid, overworked, do not get overtime, and are splitting their time between two apartment complex's. My assumption is that the problem is with the owner who from what I've heard refuses to shell out any cash to improve this bug/ drug infested place. I had to fix things myself to get anything done. I have had a broken oven for months, a leaky roof which was never fixed (the water just turned off). They don't have time to fix anything, and even emergencies aren't treated as one. Again, I don't blame the maintenance staff, they are as I said overworked. If the owner would just replace some of these ancient appliances it would lessen the work load on the maintenance crew, enabling more time for them to complete other issues. I am now trying to figure out why the tennis courts have been in use by tennis instructors and students 24-7. It is not even available for the tenants to use. I am guessing the owner is renting it out to make a few more bucks. God this place is awful. I HATE IT!!!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone.
THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE EVER!!!! OMG!!! Craig mentions one part of the issues! The scum that they let move in and the crime is just horrible. The management staff is rude and unhelpful. They let anyone move in and i mean ANYONE!! Had the cops come in the other night looking for a sex offender who live here!!! Were moving ASAP to escape this dump. Pool gets broken down for months and then they decide to do their own work on it... that's great until the bleach burns your skin and ruins your cloths its so strong!! They have OK pricing but the place is the SLUMS. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs!!! unless you are ok with living in the hood and want drug shopping just a few doors away!!
