This apartment complex has gone up tremendously in price, but they haven't done any renovations. I lived here for 16 months and it's gone downhill since, think Radioshack stock prices, stay away. Cockroaches roam the hallways freely, mold is on the ceilings, stains are spread around the inner-hallway carpets, the trash chute has cockroaches that run out the second you open the door, hot water is shut off for one day of the month (enjoy your cold showers!), there has been a water leak on my floor for nearly six months with black mold coming out and yellow fungus, yet all they do is PAINT OVER IT, the entry gate gets broken once a month leaving anybody walking around free roam of the parking lot, I had a car jack stolen in middle of the day while I ran an errand, cars get vandalized on the street parking if you have more than one car, my sinks don't drain, the windows don't insulate sound or weather at all so you're stuck running AC all day in the summer and heat all day in the winter, enjoy listening to 610 highway as well, the office staff are very nice... but they have to report to the higher-ups which means they can't do anything for you, when you're one year lease is up they will bump your new rent up $400 additional a month a 47% increase!, the hallways always smell terrible which all residents notice, some dog owners let their dogs pee and poop anywhere they please which leaves puddles on the common walkways (check the base of all metal railings, they are nearly rusted out and very dangerous), they don't clean the gutters of leaves so even when it's not raining the gutters are overflowing with water, mold grew around my windows so they came in with bleach to clean it then it just came right back, there is a "drain" above the bathtub that I still to this day am not sure where the water from that is coming from- try enjoying a bath just to have random water pour on you from a tube in the ceiling, the lights in the parking lot are out frequently which leaves the parking lot dangerous- especially for young people, a stain appeared on my wall and realized it was water from the outside after a heavy rain- they said that's normal to happen, the appliances are old- dishwasher doesn't clean- freezer thaws and freezes food on it's whim- microwave has rust on it (they said they don't fix things just because of rust)- stove set to 350 actually means 410 according to two thermostats. I could go on and on to warn potential renters about things I've noticed while living here, especially since I am so cognizant of my surroundings and maybe notice things others wouldn't, but I want to give everyone the chance to hear what I have to say before they get into a contract somewhere. Best of luck finding a new place to live!
Very beautiful place my brother-in-law lived at, he enjoyed it very much. However, whenever he passed away unexpectedly, the property held his 70+ yr. old mother responsible for the remaining two months of his rent. At any time they could of sub-leased it while we were finalizing his cremation, and formal financial paperwork, along with deciding where his personal belongings would go. I feel they did her wrong!
