I moved here from NJ back in November and thought I hit the jackpot. Unlike most of the reviews I have had the chance to read I really liked the apartment complex. The staff was really nice and helpful to me and took care of any concerns that I mentioned. Then something changed here. I hear gun shots way too often. I don't feel safe at all. I have two small children that I am nervous to let out to play. There is loitering as well. I honestly like my apartment but I don't like the crime here. I am anxious to move but have a while to go. Signed, Disappointed
If I could give no stars, I would. I called in a leak from my ceiling this morning at 7:45am. I called on my break at 2pm to find out progress. I was told "That person is on break right now. I just came back from break and don't know anything. He will have to call you back." I never got that phone call. When I called after work I was told that nothing had been done because they didn't see the work order. I get home and they still have not looked at the problem. Do not move here. The only good thing is that they have plenty of parking. Every neighbor can hear the one above, the water is turned off constantly because someone is always having a plumbing problem. And the office staff, included the answering service, do not follow up with you when there is an issue.
5006 V. Charlotte NC We are fed up with the leasing office and maintenance. We cannot wait to move and I will personally write the owners since they want the feedback. You do not understand customer service, courtesy, and common sense. We called to have our roof, dishwasher, and now the air is out for a 3rd time. I personally went to the office 3/10 at 5:30 after my wife called at 11:30am. The office rep named Jennifer told me word for word: well its about 8 out and we only have 1 person working on it. (After seeing maintenance outside) She stated you can ask him when he can get to you. So I waited for 15 mins (in the office) just standing there while jenifer and the manager and another rep did not think to ask or treat the fact I didn't have air as a true issue (it's was 88 degrees in my house and as I type it's still hot and I have a 4 month old). Other issues I have and victoria park past and new do not care about is the valet trash that you make me pay for even though my TRASH IS RIGHT OUTSIDE and I can take it myself. Instead you want to charge me $30 a month to have someone pick it up and leaves me nasty notes when I put the trash put without the bin. I am still living here and will be posting, writing, and verbally giving my feedback until our lease is up. If I could afford to break it early and leave I would, then I would picket at the front gate so anyone trying to live here would know not to do it. They should condemn this apt and start over. I pay 800 a month for a 2 bedroom 2 bath that's really just a hallway and some walking room. For what I pay I could have a house but only moved here because of the location to my parents and job. Been here for 3 years trying to mind my business but now I'm not going to stay any longer than I have too specifically because the service is comparable to a a soup kitchen. Office staff...new or not you are not good at your job (at all..they found them on the street or in the unemployment office because you can't train courtesy and professionalism. Customer service specifically. Maintenence needs to be fired and new staff brought in...why did you keep the same people to begin with? (they were undependable and would come right in my place without knocking which is why I specifically stated they cannot cone in without notifying me or my wife first for permission) I'm going to send this to Facebook and email milestone as well(posted already :). I may not pay my rent and let my lawyer deal with you in court. New or not management isn't holding up their end of the lease. This has been the worst living experience we have had with 2 kids and I work full time and my wife is in school. So it was convenient not to move after the first 2 years but now it's a must as we deserve better than this SLUM.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! If I could give it no stars I would! This is the worst place I have EVER lived. The front office staff is horrible, they lie and never return your phone calls. The fake "cherry wood" cabinets are barely hanging on. People are always double parking. There are geese in my backyard that hiss and are very territorial, one stood in front of my stoop and almost charged me and my daughter we had to run for the door. There was a rape of a 17 year old girl. There was a fire, and the building has yet to be fixed. There was a hostage/shootout situation. You have to pay for the valet trash even if you don't use it. The walls are paper thin. I hear my neighbors walking at all times of the night. I HIGHLY suggest you find anywhere else but here! My lease is up in 5 days, and I couldn't be happier!
There has been trash in the grass and just inside woodline behind my apartment for a year. Mail packages are always getting "lost", and the email notifications for them are always a day or two late. There;s hardly anyone ever in the office, and the outside answering service is useless. Even if you notify them that you will be a little late with rent due to family tragedy, they will still begin eviction proceedings at less than a week to a week and a half late. (Which will tack on about another $250 to your rent, +late fees) There was a rape a few moths ago, and a police stand off (with shots fired) less than a month ago. Tenants park their cars across two spots, (leaving no room for others when the lot is full) and management will do nothing about it. My stove is horrendous to the point of dangerous, and they refuse to replace it. They raise the rent as much as they are legally allowed at the end of your lease but offer discounts to new tenants. The pool has no lifeguard and the indoor pool has no heat, making it useless in winter. The gym is only open during business hours. (You know, when you cant use it because you are at work) If you question policies or have a problem with them, management will not care and will be rude if you insist on being heard. They promised me one apartment, then switched me to another when the truck arrived with my stuff. With no options left, I had to take it. Can you say "bait and switch"? It took me 6 months to get a garbage can for the "valet trash service" that I paid every month for. (Which, by the way, you CANNOT elect to pass on. You HAVE to have it.) When I asked for my money back for the service I did not get, I was told no. Cant wait to get out of here.
