We had heard from a lot of local community people that this was a bad area to be but the price was right for the amount of room you get. The one bedroom loft we have does not have central heating, more like a hotel with the HVAC units under the window but they work fine, now, so thats okay. My list of complaints: We moved in and the AC upstairs did not work at all. It took Prop management 2 months to have someone come fix it. When we moved in there was a light bulb missing from the light fixture above the mirror, which we were told would be the ONE light bulb they would replace for us. its 5 months in and i have yet to see that light bulb. They had our building scheduled to have our roof re-shingled, which we never received notice for, and the second day in it started to pour rain. The roofers failed to put a tarp on the roof and at least one woman i know lost her whole bedroom ceiling because of the damage. The whole thing came down on her. we were lucky in that only part of our ceiling was damaged. They had painters come and fix prolly a couple days later. The job they did, that took them a day and a half to finish is abysmal to say the least. No dry wall was replaced on the ceiling, they just painted over the damage. The we got a letter hung on our door saying "Dear Ashley" which is not my name, or my boyfriends name, and no one named ashley has ever lived with us. this letter stated that on Monday our carpets would be cleaned. 4 weeks later and i have yet to see or hear from anyone... I could go on but it only gets worse/more comical. Needless to say, when our year is up, we will not be renewing this lease.
