Corgi-friendly basement studio apartment in very quiet Maple Leaf private home. Female tenant preferred. Owner-occupied by friendly 67 y.o. male UW research scientist (hiker, backpacker type), one upstairs female student lodger, and 1 adorable Welsh corgi. This is a private apartment within a private home with access to main living area upstairs, so it is a housemate situation. Furnished or unfurnished.
Originally listed as no-pets, but I have a soft spot for well-behaved corgis who don't bark.
Emphasis on quiet. I am sensitive to noise, especially electronic media noise such as TV or stereo -- paradoxically, a live musical instrument is welcome as long as not electrically amplified or drums. Kindly enjoy your media with headphones or inaudibly while others are home, thank you. I have never had a TV in my home.
250+ sq. ft plus closets. New remodel. Kitchenette, private bath, fenced yard, locking door, semiprivate entrance, access to main living area. Some storage, indoor bike space. Tight but doable driveway parking for 1 small car. Wifi but no cable. Laundry. Some freezer space. Small refer, modern induction cooktop with cookware, no dishwasher, no oven (but upstairs kitchen oven is available). Can be furnished or unfurnished.
5 min. walk to 67 bus line or Northgate Metro Transit Ctr (and Link Light Rail when it is completed). No more pets please (it would be hard to to down a quiet, well-behaved corgi). To encourage conservation and economy, you will pay 20% of water, gas, and electricity, which are quite modest if we use them wisely.
Al the corgi is part of the family, but will be excluded from your apartment. He charms everybody, scares away the bad guys, exudes good vibes, and is vocal only to greet me when I come home.
Lease details: First, Last, $1000 security deposit (payable in installments). 20% of gas heat, water, and electricity to encourage conservation and economy.
Month-to-month; if we get along well, longer lease can be considered.
I have been known to be flexible.
