This is a pretty good community to live in after you move out of the dorms. The staff is really friendly and helpful and it's close to campus which is nice. It's a great price for the location and the community! I would recommend living here after your first year of school. However, when I moved in the place was a tad dirty, but nothing we couldn't take care of. The maintenance staff is also really helpful and they respond to work orders really fast. Overall, I like living here and I definitely recommend it!
I have been a resident at Aztec Corner for 3 years and love living in this community. Most of the people in this community are college students at San Diego State University or the surrounding community colleges so weekend nights do tend to be noisy, but if you are a young adult it makes for a great weekend atmosphere. Every room has two people in them, but the rooms are HUGE. Roommate matching is available, but most people sign leases with friends. It is very convenient to have an individual lease in case roommates are not able to pay and therefore make you cover their rent. Also, all utilities, internet, cable, furniture is included with the lease (except electric). Management and Maintenance are really friendly and will help with any problems that may occur. Also, the office offers free coffee and printing. The Aztec Recreation Center a block away provides a great gym and pool for the residents of Aztec Corner so an on-site gym and pool are unnecessary. A laundry facility is located on the premises as well.
Absolutely hated this place. My apartment was extremely dirty, stained and damaged the day I moved in. The outdoor area was trashed the entire time I was there. The management charged myself and many of my neighbors outrageous fees for things like trash and pets, to which none of that was true! The management was rude, uncaring, and looking for ways to get more money from us. The worst leasing experience I've had.
I really don't know where all these bad reviews came from?? It's jst too normal appartment to live in !! The thing is Internet is too damn slow..and that's it NOTHING MORE All rooms are shared and the cost is 700 for 1x1 or 650 for2×2 Guys quiet it I swear nothing wrong with this apartment...if u think its expensive for shared room..guess what? U r in 3mnt walking from ur f××××g campus! !
Sadly I can't give it 0 stars. This is the worst place to live in; it is worse than living in a 3rd world country. I used to live in Mexico and it is much better there (middle-class neighborhood). Let me point out why: - Services are the worst you'll ever experience; expect water to be cut at least once per semester, sometimes there won't be hot water for a few days and sometimes there won't be water at all. They always seem to have problems with the plumbing. Expect plumbing backup on the sinks; kitchen sink, bathroom sink, you'll see a lot of dirty water coming out from there, this happens all the time. They claim they cut water to fix some plumbing issues but it just keeps happening. Internet is slow, extremely slow; it will get disconnected quite often and it takes them forever to fix it. But again, it just keeps happening. Then, when washing or drying machines break down, it takes them forever to fix them! This is the case with everything that needs fixing. - Mail: I can't tell you how many times I got mail from other people in my mailbox. Of course, they have also lost my mail so many times I can't even count them! - Gardening at 1 in the morning Monday-Friday - There have been several break ins so it is not safe at all; the locks in the gates don't even work properly. - The place is awfully dirty; the floors outside are disgusting. - Kitchen appliances are extremely old and just the whole apartment is ugly Do yourself a favor and don't ever consider staying in this dump, worst place to live in!
