We were sold on getting an apartment here after the wonderful sales pitch by the lady at the desk. Little did we know that she was lying about 90% of the amenities. Then during the summer when the pool FINALLY opened for a day, we went down and realized a child came out of the water and was covered in the blue paint! The paint in the pool was rubbing off on people! This place is an absolute joke. The parking spaces are way too small. The basement is disgusting. The upkeep on your apartment is minimal. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

This place is complete garbage! I signed a lease for a year. The AC unit never worked. The 24/7 maintenance number was not for this location. The pool was down the entire summer except for Labor Day. The city shut the pool down the day after Labor Day for violation of local ordinances. There were 5 auto burglaries in the garage within a 30 day span. The caffe is always out of coffee and water. The community internet is slow! The landlord thinks he is a lawyer. He is very aggressive when it comes to collecting rent. The parking garage is not covered and is very small! I was forced to park my car in a tight spot because of assigned parking. I was able to get out my lease. The best thing about this place is Kristen. She is the assistant manager. Do not move there!!!!

I moved in my apartment winter 2011, and it was perfect for me. I feel safe walking in at night alone no matter the time and that was a big selling point because it is difficult to find that in the city. If anything breaks down a simple call to the office has resulted in the issue being fixed the same day. Staff is great and will even open the door if your hands are full if they know you as a resident. The management and ownership has recently changed and along with that has come changes. The hallways are being renovated and although I would have preferred a color - they are updated. They have added a coffee center, gym, and warmed up the drab community area. I love my apartment, I never hear my neighbors, if my upstairs neighbor stomps or drops something heavy I may hear a thud otherwise not much noise. As an overall I honestly love my apartment, no apartments have the perfect management and improvements can be made, but I wouldn't move to any other apartments in the city. I would recommend the apartments to others seeking a great place downtown.

I thought this place couldn't get any worse, but the new management, Princeton Enterprises, takes the cake!! I wish there would be a negative stars option, because that's what they deserve! I've lived here for over 2 years and it's gotten progressively worse. Yet, they continued to charge the same for less. When Princeton Enterprises took over I was so excited for some positive changes. It didn't take long to find out that this is yet just another large corporation that over promises and under delivers. So what can I say about Lansing Towers: plumbing sucks, the upkeep is slim to non-existent, the garage is falling apart, nobody seems to care that the storage units have been taken over by mice/rats. Btw, when I complained about the mice making a cozy nice little nest in my storage unit, destroying my winter clothes and school books and pooping everywhere, I was blamed for not having renter's insurance! That was the only solution along with the suggestion of locking up my belonging in mice proof containers ... The list goes on and on... and yet Princeton Enterprises decided to raise my rent and if I decide to go month to month, they'll raise it some more! So as much as I hate moving, since I have a ton of things, between the horrible management, the shootings taking place in the neighborhood behind the building and the car break-ins, I made the decision that it's time to go! Please, do yourself a favor and keep on looking!!!
