The fall and winter was fine but come summer - the bed-bugs crept out! This was no mild infestation - it was packed with bugs all over. I had to throw everything out - clothes, furnishings, food and move out overnight. Highly recommended to stay out of here. The bed-bugs are breeding in the heating panels which run along the walls in all rooms.
This is so far my best experience with Appartment complex management. Patsy (the manager), has always been courteous and helpful. She always listened to whatever concern or complaint we had and tried to solve the problem. And to people who complain about how long it takes maintenance to get there, I would say this: They can't be everywhere at once. We lived at the 881 building and the only reason we left is because we bought a house. Otherwise we would still be living at Mcalpin. A+ for ratings
My experience here has been great. Apparently the management changed about a year ago. It is very clean, and the pool is brand new. Being that the rent was cheaper than others I looked at, I was surprised that it is surrounded by million dollar homes. As a dog owner, I was happy that they allowed me to bring my dogs, and I a able to go up the street to Mt Storm park to run her around. All in all, its been very positive, and I have seen them doing more things like new awnings. I plan on renewing my lease.
I have been living at this apartment complex since September 2008, starting in January 2009, we found bed bugs in our apartment. We notified the management, but they just sent a budget exterminator to our apartment to spray. The health department suggests that when you have bed bugs, you spray every apartment on that floor plus all apartments above and below, but of course, they only sprayed our apartment and the bugs keep coming back. We have had the apartment sprayed 3 times and we STILL have bed bugs. I wrote a letter to the management company asking to be let out of our lease because of the problem, and they said we would be responsible for paying rent there until they re-rented the apartment. We are now going to have to go to Court to get out of this disgusting apartment. If you care at all about good management, do not live here.
Great News! Gaslight Property bought the property.
