I have been at College Park since January 2013. I had family who had lived here in the past and was really nervous about the reputation this place had, but it was cheap, it looked clean, and I was desperate. I am SSSOOOO GLAD to say that it looks like the company cleaned house and has a GREAT new staff in the office. Joe, Sydney and Maria are AWSOME! Friendly and always avaiable. My A/C went out around 4:30pm. I called the office and told them. I was a bit worried that they would tell me it would have to wait till the next day since they were getting ready to go home, but the great maintanice guys came over and FIXED IT! I felt bad that they didn't finish till about 7pm, but they were so freindly and professional! Not at all like the people who did all this before. I am so happy here I plan on staying here for as long as possible. DON'T let past reputation hold you back from giving College park a try. It will happily surprise you! :)
So I was going to apply here at college park and the staff is so unorganized. I'm actually happy I decided to not live here. I applied in JULY and the manager told me I will be able t move in after my current lease with a different apartment is over which was AUG 31st. My initial move in date for college park was Sept. 12. I called them 2nd week of Sept. and they switch move in dates on me to October. Mind that I have two children younger than 3 years they would make the process of moving in quick. The manager did not care on what my situation was and kept pushing me for a renovated apartment which I could not afford and was not in my interested in. I just wanted the apartment I was promised. I called on the last week of September and the manager told me that they switch my move in to November. I really don't appreciate how they do not keep their word and always come up with irrelevant reasons why I can not move in. The manger refused to give me my holding fee back but I don't understand why when I couldn't even move in on the day I was promised. (she wanted me to wait a couple months to move in) I think this place in unprofessional and really needs new management. Worst experience of my life. Now because of them I'm on the streets with my two kids. Its hard to find another apartment around this time of year.
I decided to leave as new manager was chasing people away. She does not know how to talk to people, does not keep her word. Apartments alone are nice, white kitchens, roomy, nice ceramic sinks in bathrooms, enemel coated steel bathtubs. I had apartment accross from swimming pool, not many speed bumps drive over, and nice forest view out of my balcony. Did not want to move out, but new manager rude behavior towards me made me. Now I am in more expensive complex, but at least leasing office people and residents are nice here. I would not recommend C.P. Look elsewhere. Libby
The managment is like the mexican mafia. I have allready been robbed of hundreds of dollars due to their "poor paperwork" and lack of english articulation. These people should be arrested. You can even find them taking tenants to court as a very high scale in the past year. I have been waiting months for them to fix appliances. This is the worst choice I ever made moving in to college park acrapments. DO NOT MOVE IN THIS COMPLEX UNTIL THE MANAGEMENT IS REPLACED - 4/2010 I cannot express how ignorant this current management is. I personally believe they rent the places out to their criminal friends ....mainly due to the police having a portable watch tower that is in the common area parking lot. I understand the owner is a Gentleman from Miami and a KWANIS club member apparently in the dark about the current managment.
