I've lived in these apartments for 5 months now. I'm not super picky about my housing or I wouldn't like the place. After moving in we noticed a few things that would make any OCD person go crazy! The floors and/or cabinets/walls are not even (our bookshelf doesn't touch the walls at the top but does on the floor, our fridge looks crooked but is sitting just fine on the floor), you can feel the nails where the carpet has been tacked down around the entrance to the bathroom, kitchen and the main entryway (I've learned to not step there). There are also random bumps under the carpet like whoever put it in didn't clean up after themselves before finished the installation. I have been annoyed with how often the water has been turned off without notice (or the notice being walking around knocking on doors but not waiting to see if anyone is actually home.) It's been off at least 3 times a month since we've moved in. We've had notice once- maybe twice. The parking is not the best- especially on the outside where double parking is allowed and towing- though posted- is NEVER enforced. It makes inaccessibility through the driveway at times but if people would follow the "No Parking" signs or just use common sense it wouldn't happen. Everything else had been great. Like I said I'm not super picky and I'm glad I have a place to live. Management has been good so far aside from not having set office hours. They are closed for lunch at the most random times and have been known to leave early. Any maintenance issues have been taken care of promptly (the maintenance men have all been wonderful and very nice!). Anything that has been brought to the attention of the office has been taken care of. I really like the laundry facilities. The location is great. It's a 2 minute drive to 410 and close to the Medical Center. I'd recommend this apartment.
I've only been here a couple weeks and I'm very comfortable. The management is friendly and the property is very well kept. Great choice moving here.
For the price this place is pretty great, and the staff is very helpful.
Is this place good to live ?
My name is Letty. And I don't ordinarily post to blogs, submit reviews, or use the internet for that matter. I felt that my treatment by the Property Manager, Charo Hughes and the leasing team was almost driven to make my end of lease very, very difficult. It escalated to the extent that I reached out to a columnist with the Express News for the purpose of documenting and bringing to light their statements and actions for documentation and visibility. My utilities were disrupted as a result of a late fee and against the Public Utilities Commission rule that clearly states that such disruptions should only be carried out with late payments to utility late payments and not fee based delinquencies. To add further salt to injury...I was told that my late fee (I had just lost my job and was in the process of on-boarding with a municipal organization) was a certain amount, but without change. I made a money order to pay the late fee and then was informed in person that I was missing .47 cents. I then received a letter posted on my door that I still had an outstanding balance of .47 cents. Logic would have it, such that if they had told me of the correct amount - I would have purchased the money order to include the .47 cents. But, their behavior and tactics to make things more difficult in trying to ruin my credit standing has forced me to seek legal council. I hope that no one else shares this experience or ever has to go through something such as what I was subjected to. Their district leadership indicated that my complaint was not unique to this manager. Regretfully, Letty.
