Arrived from Houston. Asked us to wait one hour for checking at 4pm. We went to eat and then returned 2 hours later and now we have to wait another hour or more for their systems to reboot because they can't find reservations. On top of that you are slapped with a 30usd per day parking fee. Not even offered some form of courtesy voucher for food or drink while we wait. Just told us to go outside to see the beach - in the rain at 6pm lol.
Nickled and dimed. The lobby is beautiful. That is where they got their 3 stars. Not only does the nightly rate not include your $25 resort fee, it also doesn't include parking. So for $30 per day (the "lost ticket" rate), you have to park kiddy corner in the garage named after the resort, but officially "unaffiliated." The hotel is run down. Everything has been painted over several times. Time was cracked in the entryway and bathroom. The toilet needed a new seal and would run every 10 minutes. The pool had missing tiles. The hottub was also missing tiles and was very dated. The towel guy at the pool threatens to charge you for towels if he is forced to pick them up for you. The "private" beach accessible to the public.
Pretty bad all around, hygiene, service, quality, Internet, elevators, food, et al. Was gonna give a special shoutout to an almost entirely unique degree of unprofessionalism for a guy at the front desk, but his life appears unhappy already, so it seems not worth it. Hotel overall could do a great job but, sadly, chooses not to.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Awful customer service and outdated amenities. Great place to visit for a drink, would advise you not to stay the night. Not only did they assign us to the wrong room but they called us after we went to bed to tell us about their mistake. They tried to force us to come down to the office to get our new room assignment. We refused and they eventually came up to our room to walk us to the new room. When we arrived at the new room it was dirty so they took us to a third room and although the third room was definitely an upgrade the attitude of the manager combined with the inconvenience was unacceptable. To make things worse my 5am wake up call didn't happen. I would avoid this hotel until they figure out how to treat customers better.
This hotel is the worst. Came down from North Carolina to celebrate my Frat brother's birthday. We stayed from December 30th to January 3rd. We had to keep calling for washcloths and towels everyday. We would hang them up like requested, and they still pulled them and never replaced them. Jeffery at the front Desk said to check back around 2:30pm before he got off at 3pm the day of check in and see about switching rooms and when we did, he said he would call us back. Never did, when we went to the front desk they was like "He is an intern, and we don't allow room switching". Wi-fi sucks, never stay connected. There is no microwaves in the room to heat up food of you wanted too. We really felt unwelcome here at the Deauville Beach Resort because of how we was treated. This makes the second time we came to Miami for vacation, but the first time we stayed at the Deauville. It will never happen again. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. Use this resort as your last option of choice. $30 for overnight guest parking in the self-parking garage is ridiculous.
