I lived here for about 2 years, moved out last winter. It seemed like an awesome place before I moved in, and the apartments are fine overall. Adequate, but not great. However, as evidenced by the back and forth reviews and comments by residents, the management plays favorites and is sub-par if you're not on the list of favorites. Katherine, the manager, is impossible to get a hold of. I never knew her that well, and heard similar complaints from residents that considered her in only a professional capacity (manager, renter) as opposed to a friend or acquaintance. If you try to reach her physically at the office during operating hours you're very likely to be met with an "out of office" note on the door. If you try to call, you get voicemail and have to continue to call in hopes of getting a hold of her since she doesn't respond to messages. E-mails are equally met with no response, only after repeated attempts do you get anything back. I personally don't appreciate having to hound the management to get things taken care of that should have been dealt with proactively in the first place. Limited occasions like this would be acceptable but it's fairly consistent at this place. Rent was constantly being increased, but with no increased benefit of the property to justify it. When I moved out I was paying more for a 1 bedroom than I am now for a really well maintained, upgraded 2 bedroom apartment with pool and dog park. I am a dog owner and the courtyard had its perks when it was maintained but sometime last year the good maintenance guy left and it turned into a muddy, grassless patch of poop. This is not the property's fault, owners should be responsible, however when it becomes that bad I would expect the management to either enforce the constant threats of fines, or to take measures to ensure that one of the 2 major selling points is properly maintained (location and courtyard are about the only things this place has going for it, and when I left the courtyard was no longer a selling point). They have bag stations but they were rarely filled, and the poop receptacle was rarely emptied. Finally, when I moved out it took over a month to get my deposit check back. I called and e-mailed relentlessly and got a few responses back apologizing, saying she had been very busy and hadn't had time yet. It was clear that customer service was sub-par while I was a resident, and non-existent once I moved out. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to be overcharged for minimal service and a mediocre living space.

Best place I've ever lived, manager and maintenance guy are the best and I honestly mean that as a U S Marine Veteran and person whose has lived all over the world. Kathryn the manager really takes the best care of the residence here. She is an absolute must in order for a place like this to work. She so wonderful as well just as a person in general. I feel at home thanks to her. If you complain about spring creek your either crazy or incapable of being happy. Respectfully G and J

When someone is unhappy they are going to rant and rave and tell the world but when someone is content with their life they may tell a friend or 2 in passing. I am guilty of being the happy and content resident that only told friends in passing. One of the reasons I decided to get on here was to set things straight. My friend and I moved to Boise from out of state. Before we came here we got on the internet and found the top 5 properties that fit our needs. From there we called around and made appointments. Spring Creek was the first stop on our list and we were sold!! The property looked amazing inside and out! We were single girls in a new State and needed a place where we felt safe and the community offered just that, a safe and relaxing surrounding. We liked it so much that we didn t even bother looking at other properties. Anytime we had a maintenance request (which was rarely) the maintenance man was always prompt and very friendly. Long story short, a year later my roomie moved out and I transferred, no problem, into a one bedroom apartment across the property where I lived alone for another year. I never once had a problem with any of my neighbors or the people on staff. I am not going to lie however, once in a while I could hear my neighbors TV or music but it s an apartment people! You can live in a house and still have the same problems with noisy neighbors! To top off my amazing living experience, the manager in the office was always friendly and treated me with respect. She would even put up with my occasional visit to the office when I got lonely and board. Over all this was a great place to spend my first 2 years in Boise and if I didn t buy a house I would still be living there! Reading some of the other postings really made me sad so please just do me a favor and make your own judgment about the place. I know that, just like I was, you will be happy living there!!!
