Come on down! You will love this beautiful property and you can have pet rats too! For free. Not only do you get 1 pet rat, but you can have thousands. They will even live in the walls and cabinets and you won't need to buy a cage for them. Seriously, this place is under investigation from the health department. Avoid unless you really love rats!!!!
We moved up north from Los Angeles for a job and decided to stay at the Beachcove when making our decision on a place to say. We were not happy with our stay at all, and I caution anyone who decides to rent here or any of their sister properties. The apartment itself is really small and the floorplan is not very open. The walls are paper thin, and if you are downstairs, you hear a lot of stomping around and conversations. If you are upstairs, you don't hear the stomping around, but you can definitely hear people's conversations. The price is pretty excessive. It is great they have a workout facility, but the sauna hasn't worked since I lived at Beachcove. Foster City is usually pretty cold year round, so there really is no need for the pool. On top of the rent, you are paying ridiculous water/trash/sewer bills every month, and their utility company (Minol) charges you an arm and a leg just to move out. I was current every month on the water/trash/sewer bill. My last statement was around $100, and then they charged me an extra $200 for move out costs (ridiculous!). I don't know if this is the norm, since in L.A. the landlord pays water and trash, but to me, this is just insanity. Secondly, the first month of living in one of their units, there was a shooting right outside of our window at around 11 at night. We ended up having to be evacuated pretty much the whole night and were freaked out about the apartment security and if we made the right choice. This of course is not their fault, but it could have been prevented if they took more security measures around their premises. After the shooting, we decided to move out, and after them begging us to stay, we decided to rent another unit from them - big mistake. They moved us into a unit where the previous tenant completely trashed the place. The countertops were stained from burns (maybe the previous tenants smoked crack? I don't know), the shower was disgustingly dirty, there was graffiti on the walls, and the paint job was poorly done over in was poorly done. Really just gross. Anyway, we lived with all of that, and then when we moved out, they decided to charge for all the damage the previous tenants did to the place. We ended up having to fork over about $600 in cleaning costs, even after leaving the unit in rent-ready condition. I can go on and on, but if you want to get ripped off and live in a crappy apartment for an insane price, please rent from Beachcove. If not, I do not recommend this place at all.
The amenities (pool, gym, courts... )were the best things about this place. The place didn't have storage room. If you had stuff to store, you could store it in the deck and hope it doesn't rain. Our W/D broke and it took about a week before we could get a new one. Each 4 unit block used the same water heater so you best wake up earlier than everybody else if you don't like taking cold showers in the morning. Overall, everything was just ok for me. We were paying over 2k for a 2b/2ba place so one would obviously want value for that kind of money.
Beach cove staffs are very friendly and hassle free life I have here, I would say Beach cove is best in Foster City compared with other apartments.
Quite,comfortable & quick maintenance service
