where should I start, first day I moved in i had a list of items that needed repair. The light in the outside hallway was not working so I ask the management to repair so when I came home at night I can see to get to my apartment. They told me the parts were on order, well 7 months later when I moved out still the same not fixed. 2nd item, my bath tub was cracked, I mean major the whole bottom of the tub, they patched it up with some vinyle thing to make it look presentable but there was no way you could ever take a bath in it, management told me they will replace tub what a joke. 3rd thing, there are roaches all the time, my apartment got treated, spray whatever you want to call it every week but still roaches galore! my oven didn't have a rack in it, took oh like a good 3 weeks to get one. don't move out early because you will still be liable for the water you don't use, and the electric too. overall experience horrible place to live, they nickel and dime you for everything, even after you move out. i would not recommend this place.
I actually had a not so great experience when I first moved here. I really liked the management here but not the maintenance staff. I had several bad experiences with them and decided to move. But they have replaced a few people on their maintenance staff and completely turned my opinion around. I just resigned my lease and could not be happier with management, maintenance, and my apartment.
I have lived in several apartment communities and have had many different types of experiences, this is one of the best that I have had in a long time. The location has a lot of business and employment opportunities and it is close to shopping, dining and entertainment. I read the comments below before I went to Charter Pointe Apartments so I felt uneasy before going to apply. So I went to the neighborhood, talked with 3 residents that lived there as drove through the property on my own. Each person had been living there for years and told me that it was safe and quiet place to live. After speaking with the apartment referral service that recommended Charter Pointe because of location and price I moved in. I have been living here since last year and I have no complaints at all. The rent is very reasonable, the management is friendly and always willing to help. The residents that I have met are courteous and thoughtful, there are no thugs or mischievous people hanging out in the area. The Altamonte Springs community always has events at the Seminole Library, Altamonte Mall or Cranes Roost Park. I would recommend Charter Pointe to anyone that is looking for a place where they can feel safe and enjoy their neighborhood while being close to all of the activities that Altamonte Spings has to offer.
So glad we moved out!! This is not a place for a family to live in. Roach and rat infested. The maintnence supervisor lives in the apartment but only maintains his own place. We had mold growing in our bathroom ceiling it was coming in from the upstairs neighbor, and we notified the manager and 3 months later still nothing was done to fix it. The worst of it is all the drug activity that goes on and fighting. Cops are constintly there. You can smell marijuana coming from just about every balcony. A cop does live on the premises but that doesnt stop people from sitting outside on the stairways and doing drugs. There is barely a deposit or app fee to get in..which i found out really isnt a good thing because they let just about any criminal live in the apartments. I hope you do whats right for your family and choose a safer place to live.
