My husband and I have lived here for 4 years. Everything has been more or less fine for that time. A recent incident leaves me uncomfortable in my own home and I'm anxious to leave ASAP. We hired a maid company to clean our apartment twice and decided not to continue with them. Both times they were coming, we emailed the office to give permission for the specific day and time to lend them a key fob and key to get in the apartment and they return it when they're done. For some unknown reason, the maid showed up unannounced to clean our apartment without our permission. For some insane reason, the leasing agent GAVE THEM A KEY to get into our apartment WITHOUT PERMISSION. They attempted to enter our apartment and were stopped by our barking dog, who would normally be in doggy daycare if we were expecting them. We got a call from the maid because of the dog, and that's the only reason we found out what was going on. I called the office to find out how that happened, and their only response was was "we're sorry, we goofed." Seriously? They're giving out a key to someone just because they ask!! This is completely unacceptable and very scary. I no longer trust this company or feel safe in my home and can't wait to leave before something even worse happens.
My son has a beautiful apartment at The Village it is like a 4-Star hotel. Excellent view of downtown as well.
Worst costumer service ever!!! The manager should be fired!! She was useless , abrupt, rude, not helpful just completely horrible and unpleasant !!
I just recently moved from the Village after living there almost a year. The buildings were poorly built as the floors are plywood and not concrete, you can hear everything above you and everything out in the hallways. There are a lot of college students living there which makes the living experience far from pleasant unless you don't mind noise all through the night. The buildings are right on the railroad tracks and will vibrate every time a train goes by which seems to be every half hour. If you have dogs, their dog walks are inside the garage and are filled with pebble rocks and not grass. Also, they only clean them once every other week which can be a joy walking by them when you go to your car. The outside doors and gates a very loud and can be heard from inside the apartments, so anytime someone goes in our out you can hear it. The hallways are inside as well and when people smoke, the smell seems to linger for a good bit of time. The staff are nice and respond to things they can control. Their garage gates break often and it seems to take a week or 2 before they are repaired. We did have a several instances of people partying late at night during the week, the alarms going off a few times which are extremely loud, and a couple of break ends which is odd for an area that doesn't have a lot of crime. The place is okay, I just want to give people an idea of what they are paying for before they move in. I now live in a nice place that cost the same amount and has all the same amenities with a lot less noise and is well kept. Do your research. For the amount they ask in monthly fees, you have a lot of choices.
