I just signed my lease for my second year living in Windmill Cover and I highly recommend it. The apartments are nothing fancy, but we have never had any problems and the only time we ever had to call maintenance was when we first moved in. Other than that, no issues. The apartments are priced pretty fairly, and things like pet rent and renter's insurance are comparable to other complexes. There aren't hidden fees or anything like that. Management is really nice and has always been helpful when I needed it. Sometimes if they are understaffed the office closes early, which can be a little frustrating if you want to pick up a package after work or something, but it's not a huge deal and doesn't happen super often. The complex is kept really nice and clean and the maintenance guys always salt the sidewalks and shovel really soon after it snows. There's a little dog park that is nice, and there's a dog bath in the laundry room which is SOgreat. I hate having to bathe my dog in the bathtub, so it's nice to have a free dog bath in the complex. The people who live here are also generally pretty quiet and respectful. There aren't a lot of super young people, mostly young families and older couples, so it's pretty calm. There are a lot of dogs, and some people don't pick up their dog's poop, but I think the maintenance people do, because it usually doesn't sit around for a long time.
I've lived here for over 2 1/2 years and found it pretty enjoyable until recently. The management is terrible and unwilling to work with you. I was late on my payment by 2 hours and they posted a "Three Day Notice or Vacate" sign on my door and are forcing me to pay a $105 late fee. I understand their policy is to protect their business, however, as this is my first late fee, I was extremely disappointed in how they handled things. Not only did the manager April, call me and lecture me over the phone, but when I tried to explain my situation to Maddy she informed me that another resident who had been there for over 5 years and had their first late payment this month was also expected to pay the late fee. Josh is the assistant manager and is not only unwilling to help you when you have maintenance problems but will leave the office early without notice. Even the maintenance workers, who I've never had a problem with before, have been entering my apartment without knocking and letting us know who is entering our apartment! I would never recommend this apartment complex to any of my friends and hope that management sees this complaint and focuses more on customer satisfaction.
Took my $400 deposit and then declined me over the most petty crap. Great location, over priced, not very nice, and very willing to waste your time.
I've lived here for a couple of years now and have enjoyed living here more than any other complex I've been in. They are relatively inexpensive considering they are some of the biggest floorplans you can get, the management is friendly and willing to work with you, I feel pretty safe in my home and maintenance is usually prompt. Most of the people living here are friendly. I've lived in a lot of complexes and have been happiest here.
This complex is awesome! The staff if so nice, the maintenance is done in a timely manor, they have someone come through each morning and pick up trash. The apartment is nice and spacious. The only bad things are: our parking spot is kind of far, and sometimes its loud when the people upstairs walk.
