The staff is very courteous and thoughtful in remembering who you are. Very willing to go the extra mile to help accommodate you. The amenities are above par and are well maintained. The maintenance people are prompt and do a good job of thinking ahead (spraying for potential future problems of insects or things of that nature b/c it is a warehouse). The rooms are spacious enough and have good closet space. The living area is great when the biggest problem you have is trying to decide where to put your TV because the amazing sunset on the harbor might give you a glare, things are okay. Garage parking is clutch! Progressive place, good people, great value
This is a great place. The staff were very helpful accommodating. It was not noisy or unkept. The hallways etc. were kept clean. Easy access to Fells Point and the Inner Harbor.
Major problem with thefts. We had three bikes stolen from inside the garage in two separate incidents, right in front of cameras next to the door to the building. (Yes, we feel pretty stupid about the second one -- apparently kryptonite locks weren't enough to keep them safe.) It was all caught on camera but management never delivered the video or a still shot to us or the police despite repeated promises to do so. They promised to alert the other residents but never did, even though I contacted the main office in Philadelphia and warned them that there were other bikes still parked there and the thief was clearly targeting the building. Last weekend someone else's bikes were stolen. When we moved in they sold it as a secure building and particularly recommended we get a garage spot for my wife's convertible so it would be safe -- it takes a key fob to get in, there are cameras and there is a 24-hour manned front desk, which they pitched as 24-hour security. Now the main office claims the front desk staff aren't there for security purposes, only to collect packages and such. Yet the weekend shift are in security uniforms! Then there are the maintenance issues -- or lack thereof. We have been in our unit for 8 months and had the roof in the bathroom burst during a storm; the in-kitchen TV never worked and they told us that they no longer fix or replace those; our washer/dryer has broken twice and the second time they left the closet door off the hinges; etc. The building itself is in bad shape, with gaping holes in the deck on the roof (all the fourth floor apartments are accessed by crossing this deck) which have been there for months. After my call to the office in PA they finally put some plywood over them and some construction tape, so now it's a safer eyesore and inconvenience. I posted all this a month ago and included pictures of some of the general building damage but the review doesn't show so I'm trying again. Other things they'll mislead you on: I like to swim laps and picked this building in part b/c of the pool, which they said was open until 9 pm on weekdays. Nope, it closed at 7pm meaning a number of residents who don't get home much before that from work could never use it. The "business center" was closed from when we moved in last April until a couple of weeks ago. They "gym" is minimal to the point of being useless -- if you actually like to work out factor in the price of a gym membership on top of rent. And the utility bills are pretty outrageous due to the poor quality of the apartments and inadequate insulation. We're on the roof and used box fans and open screen doors most of the summer but in Aug. when it was too hot for that at night we ran up a $200 + electric bill! Save yourself money and headache and find somewhere else. We wish we could get out now ourselves, but as other have noted, they make that process an expensive nightmare.
I was offered a choice to either park outside for free or park in the garage for $50 a month. To save money I chose the outdoor parking free of charge. Conveniently, there were no spaces available outdoors so they offered me indoor parking for $50 (originally $95) until a supposed vacancy opened up. When it did and I moved outside, naturally i paid $50 less in rent and not a week later I got a letter saying I still owed $50. I explain the situation and obviously no one in the leasing office remembers offering this special, even though I have it written down on a floor plan with my apartment number on it and my rent price! Although I checked the lease before signing it, the wording is vague in the parking paragraph which obviously favors them and not me. They pretended to have a special, not to have a spot, and then went back on their word saying it was miscomunication between myself and a less experienced employee. The point is, this place is too damn expensive for these games!
After surviving almost an entire year of disgusting carpet and hearing everything that my neighbor did because the walls were so thin, I moved out. My roommate and I broke our lease early by paying the ridiculous fee. Thought i was done was this place. How, i was wrong. for the past two months they continue to automatic withdrawal my rent money from my account. so, every first of the month my account has lost over $1,000 due to people in the Tindeco office not doing their due diligence. It has been a true nightmare and everyone there has been LESS than helpful. Save yourself the time and money and DO NOT LIVE HERE!
