Be warned this place will gouge you at every turn. And be sure to read the small print on the papers that you sign because it's not the typical legalese, you are actually signing away some of your rights and consenting to pay their ridiculous fines and fees. Then they run the place like a draconian internment camp. I had only been there for four of a six month lease and already got a notice that said: "Thanks for staying here", now if you would like to keep the same term you will have to do it for fourteen months (effectively paying more), or you can kindly pay $150 more for another six, or $450 (not exaggerating) more for month to month rent! If I wanted a cheaper rent again like what I had originally paid, these jackasses would rather have me pack everything up (change all my bills, etc.), in some kind of musical chairs game where I'd have to move around to a different apartment in the same complex every six months. There's some real College "economics education" geniuses here. They ended up quick renting my apparent for $150 less rent. If they did the simple path they would see they just lost $900 in the deal over the same period. And for every month it might have sat vacant they would have lost much more then they trying to gouge me for. FYI the rent is already abnormally high here (sort of like you would expect in New York, San Francisco, etc). I talked to the leasing agent to try to work out some better deal and she just sat there with a blank expression and acted dumb. Acted like none of this was an issue, when I just got done hearing her having a similar conversation with a couple just before me. Apparently acting dumb and pretending/lying is their way. It shows one how little they care about you as a person, as customer/tenet. Your a number to them, no more, no less. They would rather take the chance thinking you would pay more to avoid the hassle and expense of moving. Then they run the place as if where some sort of fascist concentration camp, or as if they are feudal system barons over us tenets, the serfs/peasants. Have the attitude that you should be so lucky to have been given the opportunity to rent their over priced apartments. On the average of once or twice a month they send out these threatening spam emails, post notices on the walls, then a duplicate on your door. Threatening large fines for pet issues, claiming they will come in and take your pet away (again read what you sign!), that they are going to start monitoring the trash cans and fine people $50 for throwing trash in the recycle bins. I can almost see it now, the security cameras aimed, the "brown shirts" police standing there next to the trash bin with a baton in one hand and a ticket book in the other. None of these were an issue for me, I don't have pets, and I'm responsible about my trash, etc. Someone(s) has taken their "management powers" and aberrated it into their own napoleonic mini-Hitler power-trip fantasy. The one thing I will grant them is they do fix things pretty fast. Though still between more threatening letters about potential building water leaks, etc., and you will pay for them your self if you don't report them on time.
