This is by far the worst property I have ever rented from. From structural issues, water damage, and rodents...to a complete lack in customer service and maintenance, I will never rent from Village Green again. They don't communicate with the tenants nor do they check on security. From day one my balcony door didn't lock and I complained twice only to move out and it still didn't lock. I never received my deposit check back and called several times and also went to the front office, each time I was told the property manager was not in and that was the only person who could assist me. I have never rented with such a terrible place and I will never rent with them again. The only thing positive I will say: the location is ideal.

Apartment are pretty old and their service is awful. They never pick the call and will always put the blame on tenant for all issues. Their office folks are equally bad in service. They will talk in way as if they are doing a favor to us. There is no sense of politeness in them. Avoid if you can.

Terrible. We had a multitude of issues with this place. A tree fell on our back patio, rendering the patio unusable. It took 6 weeks and 7 phone calls to get them to have it removed. We were never offered any sort of compensation for the major inconvenience. 4 days after we resigned for year 2 (our mistake), our car as well as 4 others were broken into. We no longer felt safe in the complex and began to look for residence elsewhere. They refused to let us out of their contract. We filed a complaint with the BBB. The corporate office never responded. Should have ran this by my attorney in retrospect. The office staff seem to be a revolving door. The always take a lackadaisical approach to your requests and needs. From what I've seen, the office staff are typically complete morons and have a combined IQ of about 70 between 4 or 5 people. They don't care about you as a person or your situation and are very quick to throw their "contract" in your face because I believe that they aren't smart enough to come up with solutions on their own. I wouldn't bury a dead rat on this property. I hate this company along with the majority of the people they employ. I would pay good money to see the entire thing raised to the ground and would spit on the ashy, smoldering remains. Village Green, Waterfront and the smug 10-dollar-an-hour office bitches can suck it!

I have stayed at this community since June 2014 and I have had no problems. Maintenance gets fixed literally the same day and the complex is kept very clean. Every time I have had a question the staff has been very knowledgeable. It is literally located around a great deal of food and shopping centers. From breakfast diners to upscale restaurants. It is a safe community and people have literally left their mail outside and nobody will touch it. If I move back to St Louis again I would definitely end up staying here again.

I've been living here for close to a year, and although admittedly I've had a few maintenance issues, my experience here has been excellent. Unfortunately, I may have to move soon (possible employment relocation) so I will update this review after my move out experience. After being here for a month or two, we had issues of water accumulating in our storage space. The first couple times, maintenance said it was leaking A/C units from above us, but it was a lot of water. We found out that there was a leaking dishwasher hose in an above unit. Although it took a few times to get this resolved, we never had the issue again! The blower motor on our furnace/AC stopped working, and maintenance replaced it the next day! Also, there was a an unsafe situation where the spot light on the top of our building stopped working and we couldn't see the stairs, but after some email communication the office staff and maintenance crew installed a nice new fixture to make sure the stairs were visible and safe at night. Any time I've had an issue or question, it has just taken a couple emails or phone calls to find a positive resolution. I enjoy chatting with all the employees and grounds keepers. Everyone is friendly and down to earth. The price is high by St.Louis standards, but it's well worth it to live in a clean, safe and hospitable place! If I do end up having to move, I'll be judging the next place I rent by higher standards thanks to Waterfront Crossing. Thank you, Waterfront Crossing staff, for providing a positive renting experience so far!
