PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE! Take my word for it. These apartments and the office staff are not worth the headache and price of living here. Somehow I have managed to make it through the end of my lease. I have 6 more weeks and I am out of this dump. I called the office today to try to obtain the ledger for the 11 long months that I have been here and was told the leasing office of where I am moving must request it. I believe I am being given a hard time because I am leaving. I have never been late on my rent, not even once. Why I can't have the payment ledger in my hand, I'm not sure why! Something else to consider if you like to live with roaches and rats, this is definitely the place to live. There are also bats flying about in the morning and at night. The complex is so old the AC leaks in the master bath, mainly in the tub. If and when I wanted to take a bubble bath, I had to go in my son's bathroom bc the cold water from the AC would drip on me in my tub. The AC would also leak on the floor in my bathroom and old the toilet seat. Imagine going to the toilet in the middle of the night and sitting in cold water. Very uncomfortable. Lastly the roof leaked in the living room. Every time I called maintenance, the best he could do was slap some paint on it. The best is when it's time to renew your lease the price goes up $200 a month. Ha! Maybe for another complex but not this dump.

....I do not even know where to begin, First let me say I strongly recommend anyone who is considering moving in DONT! The management Sheryl including her assistant are very rude and unprofessional and very inconsiderate to there residents...The maintenance is very poor here...it takes months for someone to come even look at the problem..and granted the problem NEVER gets fixed..The rent is so outrageous for an old complex, why not put the money the residents give each month into fixing the leaks in the roofs and other problems..When you do call the office with a concern or maintenance problem,It can be Sheryl or her assistant they show no concern and they are VERY VERY RUDE and VERY unprofessional...I definitely need to go to a higher level to let them know who are representing them...So with that said Please reconsider renewing your lease Or even moving in...You will only regret it!!

DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE. I have had nothing but issues since moving in. The buildings are so old you will want to call the maintenance every day, but it gets very tiring to talk to poor management every time. One of many incidents; During a period at the end of 2014 in September some neighbors had placed 4-5 bags of garbage outside in there patio area, that on a normal Houston day gets very hot and started to reek of sewage. We told the leasing office management of the situation and asked them to have it taken care of. Their response was that the tenants would be moving out at the end of the month. That was their response, they did not take ANY action during that month to remove the garbage from their property. My wife and I sent numerous letters and pictures of the trash with no response from the leasing office. I personally handed Alison a letter and pictures of the patio area towards the end of September, and she was shocked to see the pictures like she had never been back to our section of the complex to take care of the trash. Every day we, my wife and I, would have to walk by the trash and smell a hot sewer garbage smell that lasted a month. On one September day my wife was walking up to the leasing office to check and see if we had any packages. (Which by the way they DO NOT call you or let you know if you have a package. What if you have someone send you a surprise perishable package? Tough luck.) As she was walking past a window that was open in the leasing office, she heard the manager say, "Oh, there's apt # probably back to complain about the garbage, again." Again!? So now we know they surely know about the situation and actively avoiding it. We tried to reach out to property management, but at the time there seemed to be some type property management change, so we were unable to get a hold of anyone above the leasing office. We are staying in 2/2. The second bathroom sweats. There is not air circulation in the guest bathroom. If you do not leave the doors open the wall will drip with a discussing yellow water from the paint. Then from there you can see the true colors of the shape the building is in. The rooms are riddled with mold. THERE IS MOLD EVERYWHERE!! We asked the management to send maintenance out to take care of it. Maintenance spray panted over the mold!! There are corner cut everywhere to take the tenants money and put it in their pockets. I had a friend move in to the complex with me since it was only a 5 min walk away from where he worked. After his year lease was up they WOULD NOT return is deposit to him. I helped him move in and move out. There was not a mess left or any damages done to the unit he lived in. Unfortunately he did not take any pictures, so he really isn't getting his money back. TAKE PICTURES AND DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Please for the sanity of your life and the money you would like to keep, do not live here, especially with the management that is there right now.

This place is terrible, I do not know how they can justify raising the rent when they have not put any money back into the complex. We have multiple water spots and leaks that were "fixed" with a half ass effort and have now returned. The inside is very old, when we moved in we found out that there were no cable jacks to hook up cable so I had to pay the cable guy to install them...if you have a 3 bedroom apartment you only receive 2 parking passes which is very absurd because every night there is plenty of parking spaces empty that can accommodate cars. The list goes on and on, the amount they charge for rent is way too high for what you get in return...avoid this complex at all costs it will bring more headaches than you want

BEWARE... Written March 6, 2015 I applied for these overpriced dilapidated apartments and left the deposit on the same day. The next day I was notified that I was approved and needed to come back in and sign the lease. I let the leasing agent know that I would come back in that weekend if I was available and sign the lease. Well I was unavailable and did not make it in that weekend. That Monday I received the first call threatening to cancel my application and to keep my deposit. I still was unavailable to come in and sign the lease. Each day until I signed the lease I was called by the Leasing Manager and threatened about losing my deposit, the application fee, and the apartment. The leasing agent sent me the lease electronically. After a thorough review of the lease lo and behold I was being over charged by $100 a month. This was eventually corrected and I signed the lease. The next major issue: I am to move in TOMORROW morning, Saturday, March 7. The agreement was I would be able to get the key Saturday morning at 10 when the leasing office opens. At 5pm the day before I am to move in, I receive a call that the apartment will not be ready until "maybe" 12 noon or 1pm. While this may not be a great inconvenience to some, it is a huge inconvenience for me. I have movers scheduled for 9:30am and that I will be paying $75 an hour. The cleaning crew is scheduled for 3pm. Also it is hard to get someone to answer the phone in the office. What a way to welcome a new tenant! Hopefully this is not what I have to look forward to throughout my 12 month lease at Woodside Village Apartments.
