This room is the master bedroom upstairs in the townhouse, and is incredibly
spacious. It is basically two rooms combined. It features a large closet,
three windows facing west, its own A/C unit, a ceiling fan with several
speeds, and a shared bathroom in the hall. The room is definitely large enough
to share with a second person, although we prefer just one person per room.
The room comes unfurnished, although we do have some furniture in the basement
at the moment that is available for sale (futon, chairs, mattress, couch,
etc.). A one-month security deposit is required.
The rent includes ALL utilities (Internet, electricity, water, heat) and the
use of the kitchen, dining room/sunroom, and laundry room. The house has
hardwood floors, huge windows, plenty of extra storage space in the basement,
and a lovely covered porch in the front.
The house is in a perfect location in the center of Glover Park, only a block
from Whole Foods, Starbucks, CVS (open 24 hours), and Washington Sports Club.
We're also walking distance to the new 24-hour Social Safeway (~4 blocks). A
ton of restaurants, bars, and Guy Mason Park are right around the corner (less
than a block away)! Buses to Dupont, M St., Georgetown, and downtown, are also
one block away. Street parking in front of the house (Zone 3) is almost always
available. We are right up the street from Georgetown University and Hospital
as well.
Two rooms on the main floor (the living room and dining room) will be used by
me for work M-F from 8:45-3:00, and occasionally later afternoons, so it
generally works better if we find a roommate who is out of the house during
these regular weekday work hours.
