About This Apartment

I have just recently moved into a one bedroom but am looking for a roommate to split rent with.

Good news: you will only have to pay $300 a month + half of utilities (water + electricity) + $125 refundable security deposit

Bad news: dorm style living, i.e. unless you are willing to sleep in the living room, we will be sharing a bedROOM.

Silver lining: The apartment is 600 sq. ft so even with the shared room there is plenty of space and you should not feel cramped. Plus, review "Good News". ~$350 bucks a month to share 600 sq. ft with one other person is not too bad at all.

I am a fairly easygoing guy, yet I do have certain reasonable expectations. Candidate must be sociable and personable, committed to cleaning at least every week or two, must be interested in splitting Internet (if you are interested in cable, you're on your own), must have good hygiene, and must have a similar sleep schedule (one thing I tend to take seriously is my sleep quality--I check out between 11 am and midnight every Sun-Thurs night). I would prefer to live with another guy, though I am not opposed to living with girls as I grew up living with a couple of sisters. Also would prefer that the person is reasonably educated.

If you have a pet or are interested in getting one, there is a $300 pet deposit that you will have to pay for the pet (half of which is refundable) and the pet must not bark incessantly at inappropriate hours. Otherwise, I love animals and I would definitely share any non-financial responsibility for the pet.

Please e-mail me with a background about yourself (I am aware there are a lot of sketchy people who may be looking for cheap rent so please the more, the better). If you would like, you may request pictures of the apartment, and please feel free to include any lingering concerns you may have about me and my personality and/or lifestyle and I will address them accordingly. Off the top of my head, I am a social drinker, non-smoker, 8-5, straight bachelor who loves music, movies, reading and sports.

Location perks: within 10 minutes' walk of a major shopping district which includes Wal-Mart, Walgreens and CVS as well as the Alamo Drafthouse and a great sports bar/restaurant Cover 3. Within 5 minute walk of the 3 and 5 bus routes. There are a few gyms in the area including Anytime Fitness and Planet Fitness. There is also Genuine Joe's Coffeehouse right next to the complex as well as Shipley's Donuts. The community is predominantly Mexican families, but there are a few 20, 30-somes intermingled. Within the aforementioned 15 minute walk radius is a very comfortable social atmosphere. The nearest bar is Sherlock's Pub which is about a 5 minute drive/bus ride up the road north on Burnet by 183.

Distance from UT -- campus: 30-35 minutes via bus

Distance from downtown: 45-50 minutes via bus
