Hello Craigslist - we are looking for 2 roommates to move in June and mid- June. The rooms are different sizes, thus the following range in rent.

$980 - huge room, lots of windows, closet, nonworking fireplace, mirror, tall ceilings

$810 - smaller room, can fit queen mattress and desk and other things, one window, easily lived in by many before you, also tall ceilings

Please don't request a room outright. We'd prefer to figure out the final situation after the open house.

About the house: Great Adams Morgan location, near Red Line Metro, expansive bus lines, bars, grocery stores, Rock Creek Park, all in reasonable walking distance. Its an old house and has old house characteristics. Sometimes these are endearing, sometimes they are annoying. Landlord and handyman are responsive-ish but easygoing. Dishwaser, washer/dryer, no central air but window units. 2 full bathrooms, 1 per floor and a .5 on the first floor. About 3 people per bathroom, but rarely a wait. Hardwood floors, cool TV thanks to one room mate, HBO, wireless, tall ceilings, awesome back deck that overlooks the park. Safe, with friendly neighbors. Sometimes friends stay over on the couches, that sort of thing - but we want you to move in, not your 5 friends who want to be loud at 3am.

Us: 5 of us, all in our mid 20's. 4 guys, 1 girl (looking for more girls to even things out). Everyone works normal hours, enjoys drinking within reason and maintaining social lives outside of the house as well as in. Very easy- going, friendly, liberal in mindset, open, responsible, healthy, clean but working on getting cleaner. Minimal foolishness. Like bikes and giving each other a hard time.

You: 21+, easy-going, kind, interested in communal, symbiotic living, open and accepting of all lifestyles and possess a sense of compassion and respect for all human-beings, clean and tidy (like you know how to load a dishwasher and put things away when you use them, also understanding that someone else will probably at some point clean something you made dirty and don't have a problem reciprocating within reason) not passive-aggressive, actually neither passive or aggressive as well, are not the same person you were in college, flexible, hardy, ok with social drinking and the rare party, well-adjusted, likes music - basically just a decent person who knows how to behave with some sense.

We would love to hear more about you, shoot us an email with some info and we will figure out an open house date based on that. No cats due to allergies and a dog could be considered but unlikely - case by case basis.
