Available beginning July 1st.
This is a great deal in a wonderful living environment!
Two professional women (in their 40s & 50s), seek another responsible,
professional woman of comparable age to share our 3-bedroom, pretty, historic
home located in a true community neighborhood. This is a first floor house
apartment.
This is an ideal pondside JP location. Very short walk to everything: (under 5
mins.) to Center Street stores & restaurants, Harvest Co-Op, green line #39
bus stop, Jamaica Pond, and the Arnold Arboretum. A scenic 15 min walk to the
Orange Line: either Forest Hills or Green Street T stations.
We are on a safe, lovely, tree lined street with kind, friendly neighbors who
care enough to meet and get to know each other. (including wonderful ones
upstairs from us) It is a welcoming, supportive, closely knit community. A
true neighborhood with block parties, "good cause", and creative events. In
addition, our back yard offers a refreshing semi-private green space with
flowering gardens for relaxing.
Plenty of free on-street parking. (no permit required)
The house is a wonderful combination of charming detail from its 1902 origin
and modern renovations. Newly refinished hardwood floors, living room
fireplace, window seat, built-in cabinets, front & back porches, dining room
used as office space for us all, and a colorful, homey eat-in kitchen with two
pantries and plenty of counter space.
The available bedroom is quiet and very sunny with two large windows that get
direct morning and mid-day light. It is a bit smaller measuring 9'x12' and is
freshly painted (pale lilac.) There is also a bit of allotted space for a desk
in a separate shared space.
Amenities include washer/dryer, Comcast hook-up, wireless, and jacks for
landlines.
About us: We are both baby boomers, on the younger side, who like to have fun,
stay fit, and sometimes be a little silly. We really value honesty, being
responsible and keeping common spaces clean and comfortable for us all. We
love our home and are happy living with others who enjoy a balance of
community and privacy, and who like creating a peaceful home together. We work
in gardening/garden design, public health research, media relations, and
music. We enjoy nature, the arts, dance, yoga, and more. We are committed to
holistic health, personal/spiritual growth and exploration, social justice,
creative expression, and care for the earth. As a next housemate, we welcome
your fresh energy and new interests.
There is some shared storage space throughout the house and a small amount of
basement storage. We have some room for your new additions of decor, utensils,
etc.
Rent: $547/month
1/3 utilities: gas, electric, Comcast..
First month, last month and security deposit required.
If this sounds like a possible match for you, would you kindly write and tell
us about yourself plus a phone number and best times to reach you?
Many thanks.
