walk to Manhattan School of Music. The building is next to International House
and on the cross streets of LaSalle and Claremont Avenue. The rent is
$700/month (plus utilities).
The room is spacious and apt is newly furnished. It has microwave, fridge,
wine cooler, glass shelves etc. We also have a mattress if you want one or if
you want, you can bring in your own.
This is a living room and not a private room but it is open and is very
spacious. You will share the apt. with two Indian roommates. Both are Columbia
grads and currently working full time.. they are very chilled out, helpful,
and quiet. Smoking is not a problem (permitted outside the building). The apt
is on ground floor, so no hassles of moving stuff. Train station, delis,
supermarket are just a block away.
The renters are also ready to share the costs of buying some stuff like a
partition, wardrobe (although there is a small one) etc. required for a
comfortable living.
It is ideal for a student who doesn't want to pay security or broker fees for
apartments.
