This apartment community is absolutely wonderful!! I am currently a resident here and I'm very happy. In absolute honesty, if you want a quiet, peaceful and nice place to live this is the place! I've lived in different areas of Louisville and none of them compare to this place. It's reasonably priced especially considering the nice neighborhoods that surround it and the apartments themselves are nice. I have a beautiful fireplace and large bedrooms. They have a park, two bark parks, tennis courts, volley ball, basketball, a pool and a fishing pond. I'm very satisfied! :)
My husband and I lived at Woodbridge for two years and watched what was a nice community decline quickly. We were very happy for about the first 9 months with everything. Maintenance was attentive, office staff was friendly, landscaping was nice and kept clean. After a change in management this once nice residence is now somewhere I would not suggest anyone live. We had a leak from our upstairs tub that leaked into our living room ceiling. We called maintenance and they arrived within 24-hours to put extra caulk around the tub. This did not fix the problem. After multiple calls about the leak, maintenance decided to cut a 2 foot by 2 foot hole in our living room ceiling to see where the problem was coming from. They never fixed the leak, and they left a gaping hole in our living room ceiling for over 4 months despite notifying the current office manager, in person, twice. During this time, maintenance discovered a leak under the foundation of our townhouse. They sent someone over to jackhammer another 2 foot by 2 foot hole in the middle of my kitchen. The pipe was fixed, but the hole covered by a piece of plywood was left for a month before we had to call 2 more times to get them to fix that. We've reported every problem to management, and have been basically accused by them of creating these problems ourselves. I assure you that we did not. Management is unfriendly, unhelpful, and all around nasty. We've watched as wonderful neighbors have moved away only to be replaced by less than savory characters. As I write this, the smell of marijuana can be caught on the breeze from our neighbor three doors down who likes to walk the sidewalks with his joint and his large glass of brown liquor while he talks on his cell phone. Or our neighbors two doors down who entertain until all hours of the morning, including one evening when they provided us with a drunken rendition of the pledge of allegiance at 2am through our open window. It's a mess here. Don't waste your time, money, or patience. We've even contacted the parent company, Gene B. Glick, only to, again, have it made out like it's our fault for not contacting someone sooner. We're being forced to pay 2 months extra rent due to a 60-day notice clause in our lease. Of course, one of these months will be at the month to month rate which is more than $250 more than we currently pay despite being given no notice of this price. This year, they've also implemented a new lease option where the 10-month lease is cheaper per month than the 12-month lease. Why you would financially penalize your residents for staying a full year is beyond me. No real explanation was given when we asked. Management doesn’t care at all about the residents, certainly not like they used to. We moved out over the weekend, and will be making sure no one we know rents from these people ever. I doubt we’ll see our original deposit back as I suspect that this group will find some reason to withhold our money despite the fact that we left our place clean and undamaged save for the damage their own maintenance people caused. Spend your money elsewhere. You won’t be sorry.
The management here is horrible. They do not return phone calls in a timely fashion and you get different answers to the same question depending on who you talk to in the office. The cost of living here does not match with the quality. The kitchens are old and outdated - my dishwasher was broken for the first two months before someone would fix it and they refused to give me any type of concessions applied towards my rent. The "wading pool" they advertise has been broken for a couple years, the tennis courts are not well lit, and some of the playground equipment is falling apart. Also, in the lease they do not provide a section or clause explaining what happens at the expiration of your lease. There is a section that says you must give 60 days if you wish to cancel your lease (regardless of your expiration date). They consider you not renewing your lease or letting it expire the same as canceling it, which is NOT the same thing. They do this on purpose to try and get people to stay longer, or pay extra months' rent. It is very shady and I highly recommend looking for a place where the management works with its tenants to make reasonable compromises.
We have lived here 2 going on 3 years. This place looked nice at the beginning but learned of many horrors. They have changed management at-least 3 times. Maintenance w/ the exception of Mike is slow and needs youth. They are apparently getting the run around from Gene B Glick to get better parts. The paint they first do when you first move in is a half coat and one little nick will show. We always have something go wrong from the toilets, to ants, to just something random. Plus they raised the rent for another year. You are paying for location and being by a nice neighborhood. Plus my #1 pet peeve is parking. I never have a spot in front of my place and they refuse to give parking passes or yet they can repave the lots last summer but they cannot coat them with assigned #'s so everyone has there own spot. I plan to live here one more year because we are saving for a house. I would only recommend this place if you’re looking for a safe, peaceful area. Past that enjoy having to call Maintenance once a week or two they nickel and dime you for every cent. Oh BTW my husband says the lake is not stocked at all. In 2 years he has caught one bass. Maybe re-stocking the lake would be in order. Don't be fooled. Oh and also your in middle of the east end, to get to Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart, etc you have to drive one way or another for at least 5 miles. So I give a rating of 3 out of 5 because the new management is better and I feel safe in my place.
I kid you not. I have lived here for 2 whole years. These are the crappiest apartments compared to some of the nice once that actually offer rent at a cheaper price and also offcer discounts. Woodbridge is not caring towards their customers and the management is HORRIBLE. Their price is only going higher and higher and they offer no incentive to live here. The apartmentments have old appliances and their tennis courts are NOT lighted like they say in the add!!! I am trying to move out of here but looks like I am stuck!!!! If you are planning to move out, make SURE to give a F***ing notice 60 days in advance. Since I've lived here, the stove was not working right, microwave blows off, we never get HOT water in winter, and someone brokein to 4-5 cars in our parking lot just recently. I referred someone and never got the referral reward. They are all in it together, the staff may sound nice but they are extremely dangerous. Don't take things lightly. Take action keep proofs.....My advice to you, Please don't move here, Go to Park Laureate because that's where all my friends are and they are much happier than me and they pay way less rent and the staff is nice. 0 stars for this apatments but too bad that's not an option. I just want to MOVE asap. Stay away from this Place, you will regret!
