I do not recommend living at Penacook Place, I lived there for two years and it was a horrible experience. The walls are thin as paper, appliances are outdated and frequently break, all the buildings have a strange smell, the community laundry room was disgusting and many people had bleach poured into the washers or dryers while clothes were in them by other tendents. We placed several complaints about our downstairs neighbors smoking marijuana all the time since the smell would come up through our windows and vents and nothing was done about it. People's tires were slashed and cars were broken into. Police and ambulances were always showing up at one of the five buildings. Penacook Place is not a nice place to live unless you like living with a bunch of trashy lazy people who live off on food stamps and section 8 housing vouchers.
