I WILL BE BREAKING ME LEASE. It will cost me over 4k to break my lease so that should tell you just how much i hate living here. First of all, the electric bill during the winter was $400+ a month. They (old lady in the office and Mike who seems nice yet always says "talk to debby I just work here) will blame it on REMC but the reality is the windows. During the winter your windows will have 2 to 3 inches of ice that eventually turns into mold. Secondly, the amenities suck, the grills don't work and the pool area has no tables or umbrellas. Half of the equipment in the gym doesn't work. These apartments are just cheaply made, I understand that half of the things that are going wrong is not their fault however the PROPERTY MANAGER IS RUDE AND SHE SHOULD BE FIRED. I have spoken to multiple residents who agree and MIKE himself has told me it's better to directly call her boss if I wanted things done. During the winter We were having a MOLD issue in our apartment. We went to the office and spoke to Debby who basically said, we'll send someone to take a look at it. NO ONE EVER CAME. On Sunday we went to the office and spoke to Kelly, she had to submit another request and she herself actually volunteered to go to the apartment and take a look at the mold and take pictures for debby. On Monday maintenance came and cleaned the mold with bleach and told me that I needed to keep my windows dry at all times. As if it was my fault water was coming into my apartment. You would think the property manager followed up. No! I did receive a call from Kelly the next day to follow up. These are only some of the issues i am dealing with. They refuse to change because there isn't much competition out here. I spoke to a resident who told me, it took them three months for them to finally fix a leak in their apartment. ONLY reason people stay is because of how close these apartments are from 65. I will post this on every website, you're better off at west heaven!

I lived at the blvd at Anson from 2009-2010, shortly after they had opened. We had a 1st floor, corner unit, and we really enjoyed our apartment location within the community. I know this complex has developed since we moved out, but when we lived there, parking was relatively easy. I read another review that stated parking is, at times, difficult. I never experienced that during my stay. The apartment was quiet, we rarely heard our upstairs neighbor (not to say we couldn't, but it wasn't a regular problem), we had minimal maintenance issues and the ones that we did have were addressed right away. We had a problem with our sprayer with our sink a few times, but it was resolved. We also had a problem where water would leak into the unit from the patio doors when it rained really hard. I called it in, and they were over right away to look at it. I'm not sure that was ever properly resolved, but they did what they could and were nice about it. Yes, the rent is higher there than several other communities, but you know that when you sign the lease. We paid $1065 for a 2 Bedroom and I'm sure the prices have gone up since then. I thought that rate was actually very fair for the product and location compared to other communities we had visited. West Haven did not exist when we first moved in. So, we did experience the high electric bills. We had bills over $300 a few times, not every month. We were a bit surprised by this, as we had never experience this high of a bill before. Our square footage was around 1,100? We did notice that our master bedroom was always much warmer/colder than the rest of the unit. Now, having said that, there were 4 HUGE windows in our bedroom, so a little bit of that is to be expected. We simply purchased plastic material from the hardware store and put it up over the windows. That helped a lot! And when done correctly, you hardly notice it's there. We also had a insect issue in that same bedroom - little ladybugs were everywhere! We were always cleaning them up in that one room. I think the property was not built as well as it could have been - if it were, I believe the majority of our issues would not have occured. The staff did everything they could to help. They can't exactly tear the building down and rebuild it - they have to work with what is there. Maintenance problems are going to happen anywhere - it's about how they are handled. And in my opinion, they were always handled as well as they could be. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Our neighbors were really friendly, too! The location of the blvd is wonderful and that was the huge draw for us. You pay for great location, right? The apartment was updated and beautiful - all of our friends and family thought it was gorgeous, and it was. We painted most of the rooms in the apartment and aside from one room, management let us move out with all of the walls still painted. We allowed them to show our apartment to the prospective residents and the person who leased it liked our color scheme, so that worked out well. I would recommend this community to anyone - but I would also let them know my previous experiences, too.

NOT WORTH IT! My husband and I currently live in the Anson apartments and we hate them! The rent is outrageous for the quality of the apartment. We pay $850 plus monthly 'maintenance fees' for a ONE BEDROOM apartment and everything is shit quality. Here are some examples. When we moved in, we noticed water stains around the dishwasher which ruined/warped the hardwood floors. When we called maintenance, they came out but said 'there was nothing they could do'. Next, there was a hole in the side of our bathtub when we moved in! When we called maintenance again, it took 4 days to fix (which by the way, we were told we couldn't use the shower for those day) WTF?! Finally, a week after we moved into our apartment (in July) we had to call maintenance again because our A/C was not working correctly. It took 3 different maintenance men to fix the issue, while the temperatures were close to 100 degrees outside. Please, save yourself the hassle and do not rent / move into these apartments! My husband and I have countless other reasons why we dislike Anson so much. We are counting the days until we can move out. We had no problem with the amount of rent, until we realized the quality if the apartment is $700 max. You would probably be better off at West Haven or some other apartment complex.

I wouldn't recommend this apartment complex unless you have a lot of money to throw away. First, yes they are super nice and updated, and SOME of the staff is helpful. I actually did not have a good experience with Yvonne (as someone stated they did on Yelp). Any time I went to the office she seemed to not want to be bothered or would huff and puff that the office was about to close in a half hour and she was trying to get out of there. We had 300+ dollar electric bills and were in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have lived in a LOT of places around Indy including houses and have never had a bill that high in my life. We work full time so are not home during the day, and keep things at a moderate level, nothing extreme. On top of that during the winter the inside of our windows had ice forming. Yes, ICE on the INSIDE of the windows. I am not talking about some frost, I am talking about an inch of ice or more surrounding the opening on all windows and the sliding doors to the balcony. Then, let's get into the black mold that formed on the inside of our apartment surrounding the windows as well due to the condensation on the inside of our apartment. I have many pictures to prove this. The maintenance staff was great in coming out to clean this up for us, but this is a larger issue that needs resolved. It's unhealthy and not cost efficient. We had a newborn baby in the apt at the time. When it came time to renew our lease or decide to move we had called the manager to discuss options. We were told our rent was going to be raised almost 200 dollars a month because when we had moved in we had a discounted rate. Seriously? First off NO ONE (Yvonne) told us we were moving in at a discounted rate. The rate sheet I saw for our apartment said nothing about a special or anything like that. i was quoted a price and that's what we paid. We were never told our rent would go up if we wanted to stay. Then we were also told sorry that they weren't going to even let us stay for what we currently paid because they have a wait list that's super long for people to get into 2 bedrooms and have no problem renting it out. Well that's fabulous! Let good tenants who are quiet, respectful, pay on time, etc. leave without solving issues. And... we are still waiting on our deposit check to be sent. We moved out the end of June and in the contract it states we would receive a check within 45 days. I have called the manager 2 times now with NO follow up. I had to take it upon myself to call Flaherty and Collins and magically they said a check was sent out yesterday. Yes, it's a convenient location, and nice complex, but look elsewhere

Extremely Expensive. We had a promo coming into it where you get a free months rent and then they make you sign a 13 month lease instead of 12 month. You can tell all they care about is making money. Your rent is x,xxx and then they throw in a million different service fees that adds about $50 dollars to your rent. The apartments are nothing special, built very cheap for what you pay for. The previous review talks about frost on the windows and I can attest to that. We have a two bedroom apartment on the fourth floor and we mid as well just open our windows, it feels like a constant draft is coming through and our heater runs constantly (we have it set at 65) and that $300 electric bill is no joke it is true we are close to that too over the winter. Overall the experience has just been average, neighborhood is safe, but not worth the overall cost.
