I would give it less if I could. The woman Christina, who apparently is the only one who works in the office, never answers or calls back. When I finally got a hold of her she just kept making excuses for doing her job poorly and telling me I was getting an attitude. When I explained that I wasn't trying to get an attitude but frustrated because I hadn't heard back and need to provide my employer with an official address which I can't do unless I know I will have the apartment, she said "How about I'm not having this conversation and you can find someplace else to live." Then she hung up. I was very careful not to curse or yell but after reading reviews on other sites that is how people are treated even after they are a paying tenant. It's probably for the best. It was the cheapest apartment in the area and you get what you pay for.

Reasons that anyone looking for an apartment should NOT look into Lakeview Gardens in Parsippany As a tenant: 1. You will not be able to contact the rental office during the hours of Mon thru Fri 8am to 5pm. Meaning that you never will. 2. You will not receive a call back even after leaving voicemails stating "I am waiting for your call back". 3. You will not be given assigned parking but when you park in any of the spots around the rental office you will be left a threatening note that your car will be towed. 4. You will have your car "keyed" on the apartment grounds and then when contacting the office to let them know your property has been vandalized their response will be a letter stating " you must remove your 3rd vehicle from the grounds or it will be towed at your expense". 4. You will not be notified when maintence people will be entering your apartment and instead you will be woken up by a stranger standing in your bedroom. 5. You will have the chains locking up your bikes in the laundry room cut and the bikes moved to a locked room without being notified. (even though you put your apartment # on bikes). 6. You will be in the middle of doing laundry in the afternoon to then realize that the rental office locked the door that is ALWAYS unlocked so ppl can use the laundry card machine ... Meaning that you need to load up piles of wet laundry into your car and drive to the laundry mat down the road. (oh yea and while your pregnant). 7. You will only get partial deposit money back after moving out even though you never missed a payment and scrubbed the hell out of the place before you left. Moral of the story is- please save yourself the agony. I wouldn't wish this year long torture on anyone.

Repairs / Maintenance are half-assed. They paint over dust and hair. Snow is not cleared when needed to be and when it is, it’s again done half-assed with slippery dangerous ice on the walkways and especially in the parking lot. The pool doesn’t open until the end of June but yet you pay for it to be open at the beginning of it. The pool is cold and dirty. In regards to the apartment – the walls are paper thin, fixtures are old, floors are cracked and bugs are always around no matter how clean you keep it. I would recommend going somewhere else.
