I have lived here for about a year and a half. The staff is great and the community is quiet, but Campus Lodge has the worst landscape. The parking lot has at least 11 to 15 small pot holes and at least 3 "MAJOR" pot holes if not more. The worst part of the road here is that they're all located on the main entrance of the property; you have to drive all the way around the property so you don't blow out your tire.They have a great road side view, but once again just take a drive though the property and you will notice that the grass is normally dead and there are rivers where the grass should be. The internet is the worst thing about this place because the property is always doing updates at the worst time. I can't count how many times I had to go to the library to print something off. And there is absolutely no storage. It's not a bad place to live if you are a sophomore and it's your first apartment, but if you're a junior or senior "RUN." Also, if you like to entertain this is not the place to do so. Way to small...

Everything was sub par, nothing was clean when we moved in, the air filter was so caked with dust that it formed a sort of suction cup and was almost sucked through the hole into the furnace. Even the drip pans on the stove weren't right, too small for the element to sit level in them so when we tried to cook the pan sat cockeyed. The internet was slow if it even worked at all, the rooms were too small, you can't turn the lights on in the bathroom without turning on the fan unless you disconnect the fan its self (which I did). If you want anything done maintenance wise be prepared to do it your self. I sent in a request to get my closet door fixed because it kept falling out of the track when I moved in and in 3 months they still hadn't come, I ended up fixing it myself. The dryer took 2 sometimes 3 rounds to get clothes dry even with small loads, and the vent leading out of the dryer didn't line up with the hole when we moved in so an ungodly amount of humidity built up in there before we figured out what happened so we could fix it. The water pressure in the shower was bad enough it took about three seconds for it to switch from the faucet to the shower head and still wasn't hot enough at its highest temperature. Probably the shottiest construction I've seen, cracks between the walls and ceiling that I could stick pencils through and the handles on the cabinets were all crooked. I don't know who painted the walls but there was about a 1 foot square of area in the laundry room that wasn't touched, and where the dining table met the was also bare... They didn't pull out the table to paint behind it.... Paint drops all over the floor and on the cables for the TV and other electronics. All around probably the worst place I have ever lived. If for some reason you go through signing here be prepared to pay your rent plus another ungodly amount for "overages" that when you add up with your roommates are well over 200$ a month. All in all this place gives you the shaft from the moment you sign.

Not enough space, we have had washer problems since we moved in, we have been fighting them to replace it, they finally did today, December 1st, we moved in August. The apartment was filthy, my window has a crack in it they still have not fixed. the furniture is wobbly, if you want to be comfortable buy yourself a memory foam mattress topper, a thick one, because the bed is so hard. There is paint splotches and botched painting everywhere. we had less cabinet space than most places do, so its kind of a pain. they are quick to respond to maintenance but they don't really give you a chance to let them in. they kind of knock as they enter. highly inconvenient when you are trying to get dressed to let them in and they just let themselves in. bus doesn't run on weekends or late evening so a lot of times you get stuck on campus, thank god I have a car, since the bus doesn't run conveniently I have to drive A LOT! Price is decent for student housing and everything included, just not worth the service you receive. I would not recommend it to anyone trying to live here.

Twice now in one year my air conditioning has gone out when it is needed. The first time it took almost a week to fix and i'm still waiting for them to fix it the second time. It gets to about 85 degrees in the apartment at night and hotter during the day.

I've lived at Campus Lodge for over a year and have had nothing but good experiences. They have all inclusive rent was a big plus for me because I didn't have to go and look for separate utility companies, I could just pay for everything with one check. I signed late my first year but after I resigned for the next year I'm paying $45 less than before. Everyone has their own bathroom. Maintenance will come and fix anything for you very quickly and without an extra charge. The pool is great in the summer and they just renovated the gazebo and added new grills, a bocce ball pit, and new hammocks. There's a shuttle to and from campus. Anytime I have to go into the office for help the staff members are really nice and helpful. Campus Lodge is definitely one of the better student living properties in Columbia for a pretty good price.
