We had a good experience while living here, but we had heard rumors about the move out process and people were right, it's terrible. They cheated us out of four days rent (not cheap) and after we hired professional cleaners, they STILL charged us a fee because they said it wasn't clean enough. It was certainly cleaner than when we moved in. McCathren Management is horrible, not trust worthy.

A bit pricey, but worth it. This complex is very kid-friendly, and pets too! I was prepared to have to fight a battle over my service animal and pet deposit, but I provided proper paperwork and have had no issues! There is a pet trail around the back of the complex and baggies for your dog's 'business.' The community is very active, hosting book clubs, community garage sales, and dinner nights. Maintenance is great and quick, leaving no trace of their visit except for fixing what we needed. They give notice for everything, like power washing the exterior or other work. The landscape is great, and with a year lease we got NEW counter tops. Open floor plans, cozy feel with pretty wall trim and washer and dryer in unit. Toward the end of the summer, management sent out a request for feedback and comments, so I felt like my opinion mattered. The two management ladies are very nice and remember my family by name when they see us. I recommended this complex to a few people and they love it too! Disregard the negative comments on here from years ago. The complex has new office management, Eleanor and Bonnie, and Steve for maintenance. They're all fantastic and make you feel at home.

I started my 6 month lease in Feb of 2014 on a 3 bedroom unit and just renewed it for 1 year. The office staff is VERY welcoming and when visiting the clubhouse they always say hi, ask me if everything is ok, if I'm having any problems etc. Bonnie is especially great! I chose this community/complex because it is safe and very pedestrian friendly. Other tenants say hi as they pass you by, great complex overall. When I had water heater problems it was taken care of the very next morning. During the winter snow, they maintained the sidewalks clear pretty well - considering the snow just wouldn't stop coming down! I always feel welcome in the clubhouse - there is never a hassle when reserving the dining room or the theater room w kitchen. Dogs running rampant doesn't seem to be a problem either, although some tenants have been lazy in picking up after their dogs even though the complex provides poop baggies and disposal areas. I visited Trout Lodge before renting here and although the staff seemed friendly enough, I just didn't FEEL great in the clubhouse. Also, there were no sidewalks around all of the apartment buildings at Trout Lodge - that just is a no no for me. Here, my kids are able to safely ride their skates/bicycles/play in the sidewalk and there are open areas of grass where they can get together and play soccer etc.

Worst experience. Living at the apartment complex was nice even though a little expensive. However when you move out prepare to be screwed they will not refund the amount they claim. We where charged for pet urin in the house after we where told the apartment was clean and there where no issues. We tried calling the managment company to try and figure out what was going on and we where yelled at by the manager kevin who simply yelled,(you dont like it oh well take us to court if you want). You better balieve I will be. Do your self a favor and go live somewhere else this place is not worth the hastle.

I have never has such a great experience renting before, The community at Country Vista is exponential! The staff has been very approachable and willing to help with anything I did I have never had a bad experience here. You have a 24 hour gym which is amazing. The property is always clean and well kept. All in all this is a great place to live I could have found a better place to make a home.
