This is by far the most "ghetto" apartment I have ever lived in. If you are even thinking of moving here, please, please, please drive the entire length of Westchester Drive and turn left at the fork and explore the entire area--with your windows rolled up and your car doors locked. The management is very sweet, and is willing to work around an 8-5 schedule and meet you after or before if need be--by far the nicest manager I have ever encountered. However, niceties cannot make up for the rest of the apartment. It certainly wasn't fixing the ridiculous plumbing. The plumbing is old and when the apartments were retrofitted with washers and dryers something happened. Every time I ran the washer, I would return home to a tub full of feces. Yes, you read that correctly HUMAN FECES. Then, to really put the cherry on the cake, the toilet would have also been invaded and the feces were exploded all over the inside of the commode. It was lovely when I left the lid up. The best part was that is happened to my guest bathroom which I did not consistently use. Every time I would report it to maintenance, they would "check" everything, but not once clean it up. I cleaned up a lot of human feces. It was disgusting and unsanitary. When I first moved in, there were quite a few faces like mine. However, when management changed, she started renting to what seems like anyone and everyone who sparked an interest and could print their name on a rental application. That resulted in my friends no longer visiting, my parents gifting a small hand gun to keep under my bed with the explicit instructions to move ASAP, and the fact that I no longer walked my dog after sundown. I was assaulted nightly by my neighbor who played music EVERY SINGLE night beginning at 11pm and continuing until around 2-3 am. Not classical to help you sleep either. Too bad I worked a normal job and had to report to work at 8 am. I once requested that she turn it down and she told me to "take your white --- home little girl". As a previous reviewer mentioned, the windows have lost their seal and you can see light coming in around your front door where weather stripping usually resides. My power bill (I kept is on 68 in the winter and 78 in the summer) never came in under $150--FOR A 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT. What a joke. Now let's talk about the "maintenance crew". It is a one-man show with the one-man being a very caring talkative guy who never quite fixed anything. The power in my second bedroom did not work consistently for the last four months I lived there. He kept telling me that my lamp was short circuiting my power. Well, that lamp is residing happily in my new home and guess what--I HAVE POWER. My favorite was the cheap dishwasher that consistently leaked and never cleaned anything at all on the top rack. Sometimes I didn't put anything on the bottom rack just to test it out. He told me it worked fine.
