This place is awesome, from the location to the staff. If you want to stay at a place that feels like a home away from home, this is it. It is an older property but that adds to its genuine southern charm. You walk in to this grand lobby and see gorgeous chandeliers from the late 1800's. The front desk is super friendly and always has a smile to greet you. Then you get up to your room and open the curtains to this beautiful view of the city. From my room, I had a front row seat for the fireworks on the riverfront. This hotel was just about a ten minute drive from I-95 so it was the perfect stop on our way to vacation. I can't wait to stay here again!

An excellent stay. The room was spacious and very clean. Great staff that is very professional, courteous and friendly. Walking distance to a lot of Savannah and a great bar in the hotel with a hummus plate that is addicting. The third to last stop in 3 months on the road with the book tour in only Hilton's...This is one of the top ones of the entire tour across the US.

The check in process was great and quick. Everyone was polite and courteous, well except for one lady was rude when we asked for an umbrella to borrow, but I'm just going to chalk that one up to maybe she was having a bad day. The valet was quick and courteous as well. So why did I give this a 2 star rating? Well I felt the amenities lacked for what we paid for the hotel. For starters, they advertise free wifi, but it's only free to Hilton Honors customers. They advertise free parking, it's free if you park on the street, but you have to pay the valet to park in their garage. The rooms weren't very spacious and everything seemed somewhat dirty. Final thing, We paid for the "bed and breakfast" option. The person I talked to on the phone when I made the reservation told me that breakfast would be free. Well, when we woke up and went downstairs to the breakfast they wanted to charge us $34 for breakfast. I barely pay $34 for dinner, much less breakfast that is supposed to be included in our price for the room. When I talk to the lady at the front desk, she informed me that breakfast, in fact, was NOT free, but was supposed to be discounted 10%. So basically if you want a convenient location and don't mind only paying for the Hilton name, then this is a great hotel. But, if you want something actually worth the amount of money you will pay for this place, then I suggest finding another hotel.

So far, my experience with this location has been terrible. From the reservation side when I could get no one to respond to questions for weeks and had to get corporate Hilton involved (who quickly put it back to this location and were not any help either) to currently trying to check in. This room is booked as part of a convention and the rates were raised dramatically from what was initially offered and now, knowing that I am coming in for the convention that starts in 30 minutes, they will not let me check in to room. I know there are "check in times" but if you are booking to get a convention in your location, you should accommodate the needs of that convention. The staff have been very unhelpful and borderline rude. I would never recommend this location.

Definitely pass on this old hotel. I'm very loyal to Hiltons brand, but will never return here and cannot reccommend. While the staff was great, the shower leaked and required maintenance for a couple of hours, TV service was out during most of our visit (2 days) so much for watching football. Staff blamed Comcast but we had to go elsewhere to see games. Room was not made up by noon. Ugh. Certainly not up to Hiltons standards. Overpriced and terribly disappointing.
