I did not live here but had an awful experience. I was trying to get my disabled mother and grandmother housing. I found a two bedroom for the right price, a ground floor unit as they are disabled, submitted the app, paid the deposit and first months rent. I verified that each check was received and correct with Bethany, who works the phones and accept applications. I specified we needed a first floor due to disabilities and under $470 a month and this was the apartment we were assigned. We were even given the address. The day of the move in, she claimed I owed a balance. $30 app fee for each person, 75 admin fee and an extra 20 for the apartment a month. She claimed my mother came in a "changed" apartments, which is not possible since I had the address already. I spoke with James, the property manager who was incredibly pompous and he stated that I "must have" been told about the fees beforehand. He would not even let me speak and was incredibly rude. I called corporate and spoke with Laurie who thought it was very strange that they did not take the application fee and administrative fee when we submitted the application, as is standard practice. She had no record of that apartment even being rented to my mother and said that should have been in the computer. She spoke with them and her tune changed dramatically. She now claimed the apartment was $25 more, not $20 more and implied that I was a liar since this has not happened before. She was quick to offer all of our money back to save the trouble. My disabled mother and grandmother are now displaced because Bethany lied to save face and her job when she clearly did not know what she was talking about when going over the information in the lease. She created complete conversations that never occurred. I do not know how someone like that sleeps at night knowing that they are leaving people homeless. DO NOT RENT from BRG, especially not CROWN STATION.
