Nice starter place, but unfortunately the general manager is not well equipped for the job she claims to do. If there were new managers to deal with each month or at time of move out, the place would be ideal. Otherwise, get everything down in writing that the manager says to you, otherwise 'she has no control over anything'. If you don't have control over anything, you shouldn't make anyone a deal based on your word, or without 'looking at the file' or 'assuming'. They aren't good with following up with what they say. Long story short; Gave 30 days the 15th, was told (by the gen. manager) if we could be out by the 4th there would be no money deducted and we wouldn't have to pay for that month. That was VERY MUCH appreciated and took her word for it, hustled and got everything moved out the next day after work. When we received our Security Deposit it was less money for the next half of the month. Not what we had agreed on, after we called all she could tell me was; 'what we spoke about was not agreement, all I said was it shouldn't be a problem, that is not an agreement.' And also, 'I don't write the checks and there is nothing I can do for you, you should have read your lease contract.' Well, in fact we had and were well aware we would owe that amount, but after being told, BY THE MANAGER, you would be getting 100% of you money and then only to receive 50% it is quite a different story and kind of obnoxious to be so badly behind the times with customer service. I work in retail and I know one thing is for sure, if I tell a customer a price and that price isn't upheld at the end of the transaction, I better be sure to MAKE IT HAPPEN. That's how a customer is treated if you want them to be satisfied and come back. Sure the 'tag' says $1.99, but I say 'hey if you buy it today it's $0.50', guess what price they would be expecting. I will say that the maintenance crew is top notch and well above that of the 'higher ups.' Our time there wasn't too bad and the layout is decent, but the end really sealed the coffin for us. Good luck and I hope your situation is different than ours.
