I lived at this complex for 3 1/2 years and loved it. At the time, the prices were far below market value. The units are extremely spacious with updated faux granite kitchen and bathroom counter tops and black appliances. All units have a laundry room w/ W&D, crown molding, wall-to-wall carpet and tile floors in bathrooms and kitchens. The complex also has an extremely nice pool area and excellent exercise room. Because the complex isn't gated, each unit comes with an alarm with the option to have it monitored. The only downside to the complex is that the management seemed to change often; in fact, in the three years that I was a resident, the management team changed 4 times. Also, there doesn't seem to be any loyalty given to long-term customers, especially when it comes to negotiating pricing for renewing leases. Other than that, maintenance issues and other concerns were always handled promptly. I eventually moved out due to purchasing a home but if I am in the market again to lease an apartment home, it is my hope that I come across a complex that is equal to CG at A.

Great place to live. Free basic cable, security system, car wash, washer and dryer installed in every apartment. Consistant maintenance, fast and friendly. Nice floor plans and landscaping/pest control. Great gym and area sidewalks that are safe! Very convenient to other places like the movies, grocery stores, shopping and fast food chains/restaurants...woohoo!

To those who may be looking at this apartment complex, know this: -They advertise "free cable". Fact- That is b.s. They simply label it as an "MAA connect fee" which will be a nice little $50 surprise on you first bill. You only get standard cable, too, so if you want a DVR and good channels that will be an additional $25 at least plus internet. - If you have a roommate you better make sure its someone you trust because only one of you will be able to pay rent, even though they make you go through the facade of setting up an account for each resident in the apartment. - You pay a water bill each month, but I'm guessing they average it out like most apartments. I drive by each night to see the sprinkler gushing water on the street. Good to know I'm paying for that. - If you're a young professional you might want to look elsewhere, because you'd be an extreme minority. - You're definitely not getting what you pay for with garbage. There's one dumpster and recycling center that's usually overflowing. - If you call the office and don't get an answer, don't bother leaving a message. You'll have to go in the office physically to get anyone's attention. And don't ask them to explain anything. - I won't say its all bad. Its pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for. Its got a great location being close to the interstate and walking distance to the Ayrsley Town Center. They're very spacious compared to most apartments in Charlotte. The fitness center is surprisingly decent. They keep the grounds in pretty good shape, too. I think in a few years if Ayrsley develops the way I think it will this would be a great place to live. However, I'd stay away from it, or at least be very wary of all the things I just listed.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE. I would NOT recommend this place not ever in a million years!!!! The apartments are nice looking however the monthly bill will not reflect what you were told when you sign your lease. They will charge you for recovery fees and other things that the office cannot explain to you why you are being charged for. The office never answers the phone and if you leave a voicemail they will not call you back. If you want to be squeezed to your last dime, then this your place. You cannot pay your rent with a credit card without paying $30 extra. I read the reviews before moving in and thought they were lies and I was so wrong, sooo wrong! Good luck on your search!

The apartments are nice. The people upstairs have been horrible and management hasn't done anything about them for months! We've had to call more than 1 time a night probably 2 dozen times. The worst part is is that they insist on partying during the week into all hours of the morning. They constantly go on their balcony to drink and smoke pot (which we have also reported to management and the police). Now about the place. They advertise wireless- we live close to the office and the wireless is useless. We have 3 different laptops and a desktop that all work great with wireless. Either their signal is way too weak or there's just too many people on it. Either way, unless you're sitting in the office you might as well forget it. They have a gym that has 4 machines with TV's on them which look nice when they walk you through, but only one of the treadmills has working cable and the other TV's signals are so bad they are useless. They have free gas grills to use- GREAT! Well not really because all of the knobs are missing so you can't see when the gas is on or off or what the temps are set to. I would say that they are pretty dangerous. They have been like that for a while now. Just get some new knobs and glue them on! In the year we've been here we've seen the quality of people living here gradually decrease. Strangely enough, it seems as if the rent has increased? Go figure! There have been your usual car break ins targeting electronics etc. A few apartment break ins as well. management has sent out letters pretty quickly when these things have happened. The maintenance people have always been quick to respond to the few issues we've had. They were also friendly. These are just some things to consider when your checking out places. Hopefully they went us with any of the ridiculous fees the others have mentioned when we move out. Our place has been kept spotless. Good luck!
