Property is nice, not fancy but does the job, and office is staff is very nice and handled maintenance issues promptly. However, they only earn 2 stars from us due to many hidden fees and dishonest business practices. We had a short term lease (3 months) since we moved on short notice from out of state and weren't able to close on our house right away. Rent is overpriced to start with, we paid $1450 for a 1 BR + den, and a $200/month "short term lease" fee was added on. I had understood this was a one-time fee, not monthly, but once we were in there was nothing we could do about it. We were aware of the exorbitant non-refundable pet deposit in addition to monthly pet rent which we agreed to because we had little choice. But we also received bills for water/sewer (~$60/month, more than we pay for our 4 bedroom home) and cleaning charges when we moved out despite the fact that we had been told at checkout that there were no issues. We were charged for painting and carpet cleaning since our lease was less than 1 year, and I can almost guarantee these services were not performed because the unit was spotless when we left it. I would definitely not recommend this place.

My husband and I just renewed our lease with Creekside and we really enjoy living here. The staff is great - maintenance issues have been resolved within 48 hours, emails returned within just a few hours, and if there's work to be done on the property or parking cleaning they notify us a few days in advance along with reminders. Natalie knows us by name and has been a friendly face. We live on the second floor and do not really hear our neighbors - we joked that we didn't even know if we had any! Some rumblings but not a lot, definitely not disturbing. Overall quiet community, sometimes groups will come by the door but that's normal. Sometimes dogs bark - that's what dogs do and it's not disruptive. Really enjoy that packages can be accepted there, the community room is a great value at 50$ for the day, as well as their guest rooms. A nice touch is that Natalie has planned community gatherings for the complex - I love that. For what we pay I think we get a lot - great management, great layouts with just the right amount of amenities (including the laundry room!), parking, etc. The only thing is that the front doors aren't necessarily accessible to those using wheelchairs, etc.

I never left a review like that. What the heck. My account was hacked years ago. Changing review to 5 stars. Sorry about that

I recently moved in and have been happy with everything so far. There were some minor problems with the apartment, but the staff has been very helpful and has taken timely steps to fix them. The staff is great, the building is great, and I thus far have been happy with it.

So I've had bad experiences at other rentals before (dirty apartments, unhelpful management, etc.) and was quite nervous about the possibility of another similar experience. Thankfully, my concerns were unnecessary, and living at Creekside from 2013-2014 was an amazing rental experience. They are dog-friendly, including big dogs - surprisingly hard to find in the Twin Cities. Apartments and common areas are clean and if there are ever any maintenance problems they are taken care of within a day (along with a note that maintenance entered your place and a synopsis of what was fixed). I only had a few maintenance problems, and they even helped me change a lightbulb on a high fixture that I couldn't reach! My unit was in the middle of the complex (there is a middle area and then three long offshoots), and I rarely heard any noise from neighbors. There isn't a huge amount of nightlife within close walking distance, but lots of nearby grocery stores and restaurants, and it's so close to both Highway 169 and 55. The office staff were always friendly and helpful, and after move out my deposit was mailed to me promptly - with a very fair amount removed for cleaning. Great experience here.
