IMT @ The Domain complex is well built, so noise level is extremely low. Maintenance team is EXCELLENT when it comes to one's apartment repairs (something rarely experienced when renting apartments). Good management/leasing team which communicates regularly and on-time with residents. Only thing I see is that the hallway walls need to be steam cleaned or repainted to keep this complex looking new. Other than that, I have no issues and recommend this place to others wanting a great place to live, with EXCELLENT maintenance team.
The IMT used to be great... but then they started enforcing the fact that you have to keep your dog on a leash at all times in the park behind the apartment. This used to be the best amenity of living here. Everyday people would gather with their dogs in the park and they would all run and play. Now there is a security guard on duty at all times and will make you keep your dog on a leash. I have lived here for two years and the main reason we decided to move here was for the park for our dog. Now out of nowhere there is this security guard. If you have a dog DO NOT move here. The sole reason we have decided to move away is because of this policy in the park. If I were the IMT I would work with Endeavor (the owner of the park) to reduce the strictness of this policy because I know they are losing residents left and right because of this.
Moved out here from NYC, which means this is the largest and nicest apartment I've ever lived in. Haven't had any problems, staff is friendly. They host random events, just cuz. Discounts at local spots just for living here. Located near a ton of tech which is great, if you work in tech. Solid bars within walking distance. Most important fact, amirite?
I love living at the IMT! IMT host monthly Happy Hours, with free food and sometimes drinks, either at one of the Domain restaurant or on-site. I don't know many apartments that do this, so this is a definite plus and helps you get to know your neighbor! Everyone who works here is super friendly and sweet. It helps that a couple of the staff members live in the community because they have a vested interest in ensuring everyone enjoys living here. They do seem a bit short staffed though as there are times I would wait 10-15 minute before someone could help me grab my package. Nothing too bad though. Because I live in an inside-facing apartment, I don't get too much noise other than when people are in the pool as the noise just echoes. The only consistent noise I get is from my neighbor upstairs, but that was to be expected living in a non-top floor apartment. I just wish that IMT had constructed their apartment with a layer of concrete between floors to muffle the noise... The apartment itself is pretty well constructed. Nothing is falling apart and other than the leaky sink that was present at move-in and an oven that runs too hot, my experience has been very pleasant. Maintenance has always responded to my ticket within 2-3 days. I will probably renew my lease as long as the rent doesn't drastically increase :)
Security: There is NO security at this apartment complex, if you don't believe me maybe you will belive IMT's own words. My car was damaged in the parking garage. When I asked IMT if they do anything to protect their resident's property this was their response: "Unfortunately we cannot ensure security anywhere on our community, and that includes the garages as well. " Maintenance: There is a utility closet in the hallway that has a maintenance alarm that literally goes off everyday around 2PM. I have gotten so sick of hearing this from all the way down the hall that I will go and silence the alarm myself, not sure why no one attends to this alarm? It is saying there is an issue with the AC duct 2nd floor zone 1, I wonder if this will eventually cause a fire or something serious from be neglected for so long? Trash Removal: $10 a month trash fee on top of your rent when the trash is out of control. Take a walk through the hallway next to the trash room and experience the aroma of it for yourself. If you open the door to the trash room, watch out... the trash may literally topple over on you. Construction: Your car will have a permanent layer of dust due to all the construction. Also, I noticed that I have to dust my furniture daily... I wonder how breathing in the construction dust from the AC vents corresponds to the rent I am paying? I would recommend you live at IMT if you want to pay high rent to have your property damaged, live in frat house like conditions, and be constantly woken up by intoxicated residents partying in the courtyards outside your apartment.
