In terms of places I would actually live, this is 1-star, and I really look forward to moving out of here. The single reason I live here, is to be within walking distance of my daughter. I was going to wait until she moved away to college, but I may have to move further down the street when my lease is up. The flooring installers left toxic construction adhesive all over my kitchen and bathroom floors, which I'm still trying to have cleaned up. It's only a thin layer of adhesive residue, but it's all over almost every square inch of both kitchen and bath, and can't be cleaned with any regular cleaners. Only industrial solvents, and a lot of elbow grease, will clean it. I have to wear shoes in my kitchen, and my daughter is staying elsewhere. It smells like chemicals every time I come home. Hopefully the chemicals will fully cure within a few weeks, but I like to take off my shoes as soon as I walk in the door, but I have to at least keep a pair flip-flops for walking in the kitchen and bathroom, until it gets cleaned up. When I left emails and repeated voicemails about the chemicals on the floor, the leasing office took days to respond. I originally submitted a written work request, on a Friday after work. They have office hours on Saturday, and I thought they would send someone to clean it while I was at work on Saturday. When I got home, not only had they not sent anyone, but the problem was getting worse. The adhesive was oozing up through the seams in the floor. I tried calling the emergency number all weekend, and they never answered. They had at least answered in the past, when I had issues after hours. The following week, I had to try to contact them again. They said they sent somone to clean it up while I was at work, but they barely cleaned any at all. I've been asking them to come back and clean it, and they sometimes ignore my email. I have to call, and still trying to get them to clean it up. I still can't walk barefoot in my kitchen or bath, and the apartment smells like chemicals when I get home. Tomorrow, I'm going to contact the Austin Tenant's Council, and see if they can help. Trails management is always cutting corners, even with safety issues. The railing was loose when I first moved in, and they sent someone who failed to fix it. I had to have them send someone back out. Work crews have left messes before, and when I politely mention it to the office, they have never once apologized, and never made the slightest attempt to reassure me that it won't happen again. Any time a repair is needed, I have to take off work, to be here to protect my property. They finally bought new washers/dryers for the laundry room, but not until they were down to about 75% out-of-order, and the laundry room almost always has garbage all over the floor.
Lived there for over a year. Management is terrible. They will try to dog you every chance they get. The maintenance workers are quiet, but then again you don't see them doing squat unless you put the order in for them to fix something. Oh yeah, both my and my neighbor had to get our stove fixed 3 times, to find it still didn't quite work. The fridge freezer had a green stain that was never cleaned by the apartment. It took them 8 months to move a car out of a good parking spot in front of my building after several notices to the apartment. I do not recommend this place to live. 1/10. They only get one because it was my first apartment and it didn't collapse on itself, though there were several, at least 4, spots on the carpet floor that were obvious holes that had been covered, poorly.
Ive lived there for couple months and for the location and everything its not bad. its peacefull and everybody minds own business. good place to live at if you are a student who wants to conserve money
