Excellent customer service. Fully furnished and conveniently located within 15 mins drive of hot spots. However, Resident Portal is EXTREMELY unreliable and the Internet is ABSOLUTELY horrible. Called Korcett Internet Management and had an extremely unsatisfactory experience trying to understand why the internet speeds were so gargbage. Fix the internet speed and IP would be paradise

Our son Michael leased an apartment at this facility. The grounds are like a country club and the staff is professional and courteous. Mia and Dallas assited us and treated us like family explaining all details and even helping with a shopping list for setting up our son's place. I would reccomend Independence Place to anyone looking for a great place to reside. Thank you again. Lin and Mike Martino

Internet they provide is atrocious resulting in your internet being capped at a maximum data limit and slowing the hell down by the end of the month, but besides that hiccup IP is pretty legit overall. Its a 15 drive to Harmoncy Church, 20 on a bad day, but overall is really nice. I'd easily recommend it for anyone attending BOLC at Fort Benning. For that internet thing though I'd recommend getting your own provider to bypass it.

I had a great experience for the year that I stayed at these apartments. I lived in a 4 BR apartment and for the price I was paying it was the best value out of any of the apartments I had seen in Columbus, GA. It came with cable and internet. Furniture and a washer and dryer. Kim and the management staff were great to work with and were always understanding and proactive. They do a great job of taking care of their residents and keeping the apartments good. They were quick to fix any maintenance requests and were very hard working and understanding.

Read the reviews, took a chance on this place and I'm glad I did. Here's the breakdown 1) The community is not too far away from post. Unfortunately, Fort Benning closed the gate to incoming traffic closest to the property, so yeah, it makes it more inconvenient to drive around to get in. However, it's still open as an exit so coming back from work (I'm an ABOLC student) takes literally half the time than getting in. 2) The staff is far from rude in all my encounters with them. A lot of new butter bars pick this place while they train in whatever school they're here for. Put a bunch of FNG's fresh out of college and with a hint of a power trip and you have the recipe for some pretty douche-y tenants. Example 1) It was a weekend and I was getting a package from the community room and going through the pool entrance. A group of LT's were kicking back at the pool grilling, drinking and all that good stuff. As I walk in, one of the property managers is inside looking out with an exasperated look on her face; she's having an issue with the tenants not listening to a request to not drink from glass bottles (which is a rule that is posted outside the pool anyways) and instead use the red solo cups that she's providing. She ends up calling the manager above her to talk to one of the tenants on the phone to which the guy literally comes in with the smuggest look on his face and her that it wasn't his job to do her job to stop them from drinking from glass bottles. Yeah guys, the stories that we hear about douche-y LT's are true and they are the ones that get the flak here; the very few LT's that act like this are also the ones that will damage the gate get to get it open because they don't feel like replacing a lost gate key. If you are capable of being respectful and personable, than they will literally move mountains to help you out. 3) Keep your stuff clean and you won't have terrible pest issues. This place will look like hell if you don't keep the living spaces clean- some of my buddy's places look like they are living in a trailer park while some look like they are living the high life. Ironically the ones that keep it clean are the ones with the minimal pest issues and who enjoy themselves here the most. And when you do, you will more utility from your monthly investment. 4) The fact that we have a lake to drink/fish/grill out at that also has amazing sunrises is a huge bonus. IP is also the best in terms of distance from both uptown downtown; It's almost right in the middle. The only thing that I'd change about IP is to fence off the area by the volleyball pit to prevent random people from just walking on the property. I personally never had a problem with anyone who has walked on, but it just seems pointless to gate off and secure the front entrance while the rear is completely open and unsecured. There are plenty of other options as far as housing in Columbus, but overall, I think that IP has the best balance of comfort/luxury/affordability from what everyone else has to offer
